Anyone do Crème Brulee??

I am wondering if you can use the little glass cups from snack sets (ya know, depression era little glass plates with little cup holders and tiny cups)? I so do not want to go buy ramekins unless I have to!! I cant figure out if it is lazy or frugal...

I'm not sure exactly what glass cups you're referring to (I think I know but not 100% sure). You probably can use them, but your brulee may not have quite the desired consistency, since glass is thinner and it has different heat conducting behavior then the ramekins. It might be a little too 'done' on the outer rim. I would say give it a try at least. Don't forget to set your cups in a baking dish (like 9x13) then fill 1/2 way up the sides of the cups with water to bake. Good luck with your brulee!
