Anyone do an Anniversary Renewal Ceremony at WDW?

DH and I will celebrate 10 years in early December. We have a 6 and 5 year old - and I was thinking it might be cute to renew our vows at WDW and invite our parents and have the kids participate. I've seen all kinds of big ceremonies down there, but I wondered if anyone did anything small - about 8 people, and what you did. I was thinking maybe a short ceremony on the beach at Poly or GF - or maybe even something at the Animal Kingdom Lodge might be cool, and then a casual dinner. We don't need anything formal.

Thanks for any ideas you might have!

There are quite a few people planning vow renewals! And Disney is a great choice!

Have you checked out the Disney Wedding website?

http://www.disneyweddings.go.com/site/gate/index.jsp

You can get all the basic information there...what is available (I've heard differing stories on the Animal Kingdom and the beach options).

It sounds like you would want to pay special attention to the "Escape" package (a smaller option).

Take a look there and then come back here and ask any questions you have!

We are planning our 20th anniversary Vow Renewal which we are holding in June of this year! Have fun with your planning and let us know if you need any help!

Thanks for all the information! Since it will only be 8 of us, I feel like $4000 might be a bit much, especially when it doesn't include accomodations and park tickets. We would likely pay for our parents to come as well, so I worry we'd be looking at approximately $9000 when you factor in WDW plus flights. Ouch! But it sounds so wonderful. I'll keep monitoring this board and see if I can pull it off.

I just came here looking for the same thing. I'll be married 30 years in 9 days and we'll be in Disney in June but no way will I pay $4000 -- heck my wedding itself only cost $3200 30 years ago and that included EVERYTHING church, sitdown dinner, open bar, even a live band. I'll have to keep looking for other ideas here.

welcome! we are planning for july 2010 for our 20th anniversary. I have spoken with disney but can't officially do anything yet so I am reading , learning and making crafty type things I want to include. good luck with your plans.:goodvibes

I've heard that the Swan and Dolphin will do weddings also, a bit cheaper than WDW. You could try there.

Yep, Swan and Dolphin do something as well as several hotels in the Downtown Disney area.

You could also look into something offsite. Leu Gardens and Cypress Gardens are two places I've heard of.

If you google "Orlando Weddings" you might find some other places to contact!
