Anyone disign something for a stocking?

I am suppose to some how personalize stockings for the kids in my daughters 1st grade class. The top of the stocking is real furry but the body of the stocking is not as furry. I was thinking maybe a Christmas name design to go down the body? What do you disigners think? Y'all are awesome and I know you'd have a great ideas.

I'm still not an experienced designer- but an idea to do them since it is furry material would be to either change the design into an embroidery pattern (If you have a machine that will embroider) OR use the fabric that will run through the printer and print the design on fabric and sew the design to the stocking- to hide the raw edges you can line them w/ gold or silver cording put on with fabric glue and to hide the raw edge of the cording you affix a couple little jingle bells or a tassle or hwat have you as an embellishment- Good luck on this- Very cute idea and a big job for a classroom full of kids! Hope this helps in the "adding a design" department- Now anxious to see who comes up with what on a cute design to add-

Are you asking for individual names in the design or the teachers name? I don't design but maybe someone can come up with just a single name on the stocking..Even if it was just the teachers name and year??

I was thinking maybe "Puffy fabric paint " might work or fabric markers.
