Anyone check bottles of water before?

I was thinking about taking a small suitcase and packing it with food. Has anyone checked bottles on water on a airplane? Does the pressure change of flying bother the bottles? I don't want to end up with a suitcase full of water.

Have the water shipped for free from Staples...do a seach there are many theads on this great idea.

We checked a bag with 2 dozen 20 oz water bottles on a USAir flight a few years back with no problems, but that was before the airlines got stricter with the 50lb per passenger weight limit. For easy reference, H2O weighs 1 lb per pint, 8 lbs per gallon. Since a Towncar has been our method of getting fro MCO to WDW we make a grocery stop and load up.

we went to wdw twice last year and both times brought 12 bottles of water in our suitcases, no problems at all (also brought 2 bottles of wine :cool1: well padded in newspaper, no problem with that either).

I'd like to second this idea. It's so much easier to have Staples deliver your water (for free if you register for their free club) than it is to lug water to the airport.
