I may, not sure yet. uggg decisions decisions!

ME!!! We were going in December and when I found out last week that FD may be offered again, I decided to go back in the fall again. We homeschool our daughter so the value season crowd level is more doable for us anyway ;)

No, I'm not. I booked the 4/3 deal at BLT from 8/4-14, which worked out to about 30% off rack rate (even considering having to buy the one day ticket). Since it's a solo trip, that works out better for me than paying rack and getting my food free, since I tend to eat in the room about 50% of the time when I'm in a villa. I'm hoping that a lot of people will switch, and since I'll be there right before FD starts, it might not be quite as busy, especially in the restaurants.

We have gone during FD twice before. Those trips we booked just to get FD. This time we booked in Jan. for a time when we assumed FD would be offered but that had nothing to do with why we picked Sept.

We did, however, change our resort to get the best deal.

No, I am sticking with Nov. 29-Dec. 5 40%. I would like to see Disney at Christmas. We did FD last year, but this year we will have a 4 month old during FD and don't really want to deal with the heat. Plus, last year there were 3 hurricanes all in a row and I was on pins and needles hoping they didn't hit! Maybe next year!

But, given that I have a Visa I am thinking that maybe they will do what they did last year and offer FD to only those members during our time. I will of course change then!

Hubby and I going on the room only discount promo the first week of june. He told me to cancel this and rebook the free dining promo for Oct 1st. But I need my disney fix as I haven't been since May 2008. I think I will be going twice this year.

We are going the last week of June and paying for DDP with 4/3 package. I tried to sweet talk my family to go during FD just before school start, but they are buying. :confused3 I am seriously considering booking another trip with my "sweetie" if the FD offer is extended into November/December. I can always cancel if we change our minds, right!?:rolleyes1

We are going early August and not changing. I just ran the numbers for the same deal. Free dining remains not a good deal for deluxes.

2 adults/2 under 10s:
YC: rack rates plus same 7 day PH tickets + free DDP: $3752.50
YC: 4/3 deal (inc 7 day PH)+ paying for dining: $3298

We are staying put without "free" dining.

We are considering it.

We 2 adults/2 teens (so technically 4 adults) and are currently booked starting 10/17 for 6 nights at CSR with 7 day PH-and more tickets & the regular dining plan.
If we cancel and rebook 2 weeks earlier, we could get free dining and save ourselves $960 !

That is all contingent upon Disney allowing us to start our vacation on 10/2 and get the FD for the entire length of stay.

I have been at the end of Sept twice before and just do not care for the heat though. I much prefer mid to late October. So I am in a dilemma.

We aren't. I ran the numbers and we are staying with 11/30-12/06. We got a 40% code and this comes out to save us more money than Free dining does.

Can''t say that I blame you. In all of our visits, we have never received any sort of deal or code. No free dining, nothing.
So, to pass the FD up this time does seem kind of dumb. Still pondering...

This is our first disount code ever in all our trips. It actually came in my DH's name and since he never books the trips, he is always listed second, we wondered if that is why he got it??? We would be going during free dining otherwise for sure.

We just moved our vacay up a week. We had a bounceback deal for 10/4-10/10 and we saved well over $350 by moving it up a week. It was exactly the same everything (6 nights, ASMu, Family Suite with Free dining). We are very excited!:cool1:

I'm DEFINITELY in the minority--we are using DVC points this stay (we need to because these are last years points that we banked to this year and its an either use'm or lose'm situation. When FD was announced I called and moved our reservations out one week to avoid FD due to the difficulties we had last year in getting ADRs at the more popular restaurants while FD was going on. Based on my experience in booking ADRs for our trip coming up in June it will be a nightmare to try and book ADRs during FD--unless something changes for the better with the new reservation processes.

If it wasn't for the DVC points I would be calling and trying to apply the code to our reservations--so I'm freeing up one FD room for someone else to use !

I was going to change, but we are staying with 8/7 - 8/15 on the 4/3 deal. When I did the numbers we are saving about $600 over the FD deal as we are staying at a deluxe resort. It seems like FD is a better deal than 4/3 if you are staying at a value resort. I say...crunch the numbers both ways!

Fortunately we don't have to change our dates, we just made it for free dining, we arrive Oct 2nd!! :thumbsup2
Not sure if i'd change if we missed FD because Disney would most likely come out with some other discount like they have been for the past 4 years.
