Not going on the Disney Line, but post on the other boards here wondering if anyone would be so kind as to review what I've packed so far and let me know how it sounds....

We are leaving Sunday for our seven night eastern Caribbean cruise and since it's my first cruise I would love some advice on my packing list.... here is what I have so far.

8 Pairs of Various Jean and Canvas Shorts
8 Tops (for day time wear on/off the ship)
5 collared Shirts/Sweaters (nicer tops for dinner)
5 pairs of black pants and nice new jeans for dinner
2 Dressy tops (black silky shirt and purple silk shirt with jacket) for formal night
Black Skirt and Black Dress Pants
4 Bathing Suits
1 Pair of swim shorts (cover-ups)
Sandals
Black Dress Shoes
Sneakers
Underclothes for all days, socks and pantyhose's

Also bringing:
My normal bathroom bag I take when away but added (chap stick for burnt lips, sunblock, aloe, extra hair ties, swim shampoo, first aid kit, Tylenol, pm Tylenol, pepto, motional sickness meds, ear ache med, other various meds)
Small Radio/Alarm Clock
Small extra collapsible bags for stuff we buy
Curling Iron
Hair Dryer
Power Strip
Dis. Camera
Walkie Talkies and Charger

Anything else anyone? I feel like I am forgetting something.

You probably won't need the walkie-talkies
You could bring extra wire hangars and clothes pins (to hang wet stuff to dry)
Stain remover / wipes
small bottle of dishsoap (for washing items in your stateroom)
lots of ziplock baggies
hats (for the sun)
Your cruise docs and ID
Softdrinks (if you plan to pack your favorites)
and of course...Duct Tape!

do you really need 5 pairs of black pants? you only wear them during dinner, right? to save room, maybe less & switch? how about zip lock bags? are you packing for your children? :wave2:

Nope, just myself and Fiance (he is doing is his clothes)... I figured I could wear the black pants later in the night too, shows, etc. Incase it was cold... yes, why duct tape?

Ah...duct tape...The magical fix-all for everything broke!

In all seriousness, people have reported on this board to:
fix heels on shoes
fix torn seams on trowsers
secure doors from banging in rough weather
seal the spaces along the edges of the door to the connecting cabin with the "noisy guests"
fix broken or torn luggage
and some other colorful uses...

Take out half of your clothes, really.

Maybe a highlighter to mark the navigator (daily schedule) with what you want to do. Maybe post it notes and a pen to leave notes for DF in the cabin as to where to meet you, etc.

I brought a photo mailer to protect my pictures on the trip home.

I also brought suction cup hooks to hang bathing suits, it takes a long time for them to dry.

Bring a hat. The only place I got burned was on my scalp - in my part. If you have your hair braided, make sure to keep it covered, with sunscreen or a hat.

Sounds like you have a good handle on what you need.

Have a great time!

My biggest advice is to pack less clothing. Really. You can re-wear if you need to, and you will most likely spend most of your time (if you are like we are) in your bathing suit. I ended up only needing 3 pairs of shorts and a few sun dresses for dinner, and of course 2 for formal/semi nights.

Also, bring a hat, and I love having ziplock bags with me. They can hold everything from snacks, to jewelry, to shells, etc.

Have a great trip!

My packing list for 2/28 was very similar to yours, and I had WAAAY too many clothes with me.

What I actually used were:
4 pairs of shorts (would've been OK w/3)
2 pairs casual pants
1 pair black dress pants
1 black skirt
8 shirts (T's and collars mix)
2 evening shirts
Formal Gown
2 bathing suits
1 swim coverup
1 lightweight black dress sweater
1 lightweight jacket for on-deck
Underclothes and socks (only 2 pair pantyhose)
1 pair black dress sandals
1 pair Nike sandals
1 pair running shoes

I forgot my hat and had to buy one onboard.

The rest looks good - you probably don't need the walkie-talkies or possibly the power bar. (We brought both and used neither)

Bringing fewer clothes leaves more room to bring home the stuff you buy! Have a great trip!

Went to the store today, picked up the following to add to my bags...

Small Portable Laundry Soap (washing suits in sink)
Dress Shoes
Night Lite
Gel Air Freshner (suggested on another board)
Swimmer's Shampoo (I have long thick hair)
Sunglasses
Visor
Ziplocs (Sandwhich and Gallon)
Holder for our Sail and Sign cards
Baby Wipes (to carry in backpack for quick clean up)
Sunblock
Face Sun Block

OH I am so excited, only one more day... we leave Sunday! :bounce:

That's a lot of clothes for a 7 night. I would only take a couple pair of pants/shorts, a few tees. Buy new ones in the ports as souveniers, and send everything else out to the laundry on the ship and rewear it.

A couple pair of dress pants/one skirt and tops to go with.

Way too many pants and shorts. You only need to wear your nice dinner clothes for a couple of hours. I can almost see taking a bunch of shirts, because they can get dirty faster but you don't really need a nice shirt for every night. Mix them up and no one will notice or care. I don't know how many formal nights you are having but you can do one nice skirt and two different tops. Even four bathing suits is overdoing it but they don't take much room at least.

You might want a light long sleeve sweater for air conditioning.
