I'm dying to know what yesterday's meeting was about. If you happen to be calling anyway, please ask and let us know.

TIA!

Spicey Cat posted the other day on the DVC CB that MS closed at 3 yesterday. This is typically for a meeting, which is typically for a big announcement.

Actually I was on three times this morning with MS. No info revealed with the first 2 DVC AGENTS.

The third agent, said, "...very exciting news..." "...we can't talk about it yet..... ....expect exciting news very shortly..... .....expanding your vacation horizions.....

I then asked DVC property or expanded collection property.....

The guide then got very quiet and said.....Think west coast....

I said, "Hmmm Disney now has a DVC office in CA...."

He said, "Bingo"

That's all I know!

I suspect a CA DVC property is about to be announced, but as always YMMV!

Ahhhhh....

Thanks Tony. You knew it had to be coming or else why would they open offices there.

DVC at DL would be very cool.

I thought I heard at one time that there was some California law about timeshares that would make it difficult for Disney Vacation Club to function in California. Unfortunately, now, I have no idea what that was. Does anyone else remember more? And I called MS this morning, but totally forgot to ask-darn!!!

I remeber hearing that, but with DVC now having offices in CA, something must have changed or a loophole must have been found.

I felt sooooo bad about calling and daring to ask my DVC MS-AGENT what the meeting was about, that I did it again!

This Agent confirmed the prior statements, but felt the timeline was NOT immediate or near future....

FWIW - YMMV

And I thought I had an attitude today!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

That would be excellent. I'm planning on making a trip to DL this year so I know it wouldn't work, but I'd love to eventually see a DVC property at all park locations. That would be fabulous!

I got told by my guide - that Ca laws require timeshares (real estate) to be forever - DVC won't do this. (we all know that Disney wants it property back...)

So unless for the Ca - DVC is changing their contracts?

awww man - just when I am hoping against hope for a DL DVC that maybe wouldn't require trading (hey - I can dream here right?).... hmmmm

Ok - someone else call :p Lets see what else we get told today!!!

Wow! I've never been to DL and this would be a wonderful reason to go. I hope they make the announcement soon. I didn't think Disney had a lot of space in CA. If this is the case, I wonder where DVC would be located. Annmarie

Ok..... If you all are heading to DL, does that mean I can now get my std view at 7 mos or less?

I am in CA and going to DL Thursday and Friday. I will try to get some information and pass it along.

Has anyone seen this on the member website? Maybe this is what the meeting was about...

Visit the place that started it all
The world is celebrating the golden anniversary of the Disneyland® Resort with the Happiest Celebration On Earth, and Disney Vacation Club is making it easier than ever for Members to enjoy Walt Disney's original Theme Park.

As part of the celebration - known in California as the Happiest Homecoming On Earth - Members may enjoy reduced Vacation Point-exchange rates at the Disneyland Hotel beginning on May 5. Call Member Services for details.

If you already have reservations to check into the Disneyland Hotel on or after May 5, you should expect to hear from Member Services soon regarding how many of your Disney Vacation Club Vacation Points are returning to your Membership.

There's never been a better time to visit the place that started it all, and it's never been easier to do so through the magic of Membership.

Who'd have thunk we'd find something like that on the member website?! Thanks for the tip! Wow. I'm feeling kind of dumb now.

That would be cool if they are lowering the points on DL. I have two nights booked at the on points in October.
