Anyone booked with AAA been upgraded?

A buddy of mine was upgraded from a cat 11 to a cat 8 after booking with AAA. His cat 11 was a GTY room.

Just found out that I have been upgraded from a 12 to an 11. I know that is not much but the cruise is not till Sept. 5. I am just thrilled to be on deck 5 anyhow. I booked the trip with AAA back in Jan. Who knows- maybe there will be other upgrades.

Yes. We were upgraded from a Cat. 3 to the Cat. 1 Roy Disney suite on our first three day cruise.

Although very grateful we never did get an answer on why we were selected for the upgrade.

How exactly do you *get* upgraded though? Is it just luck of the draw or can you put in some sort of request?
