Anyone book Bonnet Creek thru the AFV club (armed forces vacation club)?

We have requested a fire works view room - hoping to get it but since we paid so little to stay for a week I am not sure we will; anyone had an experience with this?

We did this last year, and had no trouble being placed in a room with a fireworks view. I did call a few times a few weeks in advance to request a certain building or two to increase our chances. We were given a room with a spectacular view of the Epcot Illuminations and were able to see the MK fireworks as well. We sat out on the balcony, and as we "ooohed and aaahed", we could hear others on nearby balconies doing the same. Lovely view, and we could clearly hear the music from Epcot as well.

Good luck with your reservation! I think it helps to call back a time or two to check in order to see if the notation is on the reservation. I agree, it is an amazing price, and awesome deal, but there are no longer any listings I have found for this resort---at least not lately.

We booked our coming April vacation with GETO (Government Employees Travel Opportunities). I have the email confirmation from GETO but I do not have anything from the Wyndham yet. Should I?

I just returned from a trip at Bonnet Creek booked via GETO. I received a confirmation and form from Wyndham about 3 or 4 weeks before my trip.

I was able to ask for a fireworks view room at check-in. I was very pleased overall!

I had really wanted to stay at Bonnet Creek after seeing that a lot of people enjoy it there but AFV only had a 1 bedroom available. So we ended up going with a 2 bedroom at Cypress Palms. It was such a great deal. Couldn't pass it up.
