Can anyone tell me what they do for the 4th of July? Is the park all decked out in red white and blue? Do they have patriotic music playing? Are there special menus?? So excited to be there for the 4th!!! :sunny:

I was there on my honeymoon last year for the 4th. We didn't notice anything different. MGM has a patriotic themed fireworks show, Epcot does some extra fireworks at the end of Illuminations, not sure what Magic Kingdom does. We did the MGM fireworks and then took a boat to EPCOT and just got to World Showcase before Illuminations started. I have never seen so many people in a park for the show before. The extra fireworks at the end are amazing, we will definately not miss them this year.

MK has stunning fireworks on the 4th of July - at times the fireworks surround the park! It's crowded, but it's a ton of fun! We've been to MK 3 times on the 4th of July and plan on going again.

We were at WDW last 4th of July. If you are willing to get up early, each Parl issues a limited Trading pin for free. Special fireworks in each park, Epcot was beyond awesome! :rolleyes1

Hi. Could you tell me more about the ltd trading pins on the 4th at the parks?
thanks

We will be there for the 4th of July this year! First time for a July visit! Looking forward to 8 days, 7 nights full of fun! POR here we come! AND...a few weeks after we come home I should have my new golden retriever puppy! He's due to be born in two weeks! :Pinkbounc :bounce: July where are you??? :goodvibes

Hey, we have a Golden too! She just turned 4 years old! Oh what a blessing to our family! So sweet , so patient, so pretty!! Have fun on the 4th. I'm sure we will too!! Good luck with your new puppy! :lovestruc

Thanks disneylandmom2! We have had goldens before, but it's been 2 years since we lost our last one. I can't wait!!! (to vacuum hair, clean up puddles, wash dirty paws, etc.) They are worth every job they require!

Have a great 4th at WDW!

her name is Biscuit and she turns 3 tomorrow. I know what you mean about hair Im constantly vacuuming and shampooing the carpet, we live in the northwest and during winter and spring it is pretty much always wet and muddy outside. We just remodled our kitchen and put in tile flooring so the dirt doesnt show to much and now the hair blends in I still mop and sweep on a daily basis though. Have fun with your new puppy and a wonderful trip! Mimimom

Hi... My family and I were there last 4th of July... Nothing seemed different other than the fireworks shows at night & :guilty: of course the crowds. On the fourth don't plan on riding many rides without a fast pass because it isn't going to happen. MK was filled to capacity by noon time and it was very hard to walk through the crowds. Other than that our Disney Vacation went great!

Yes, I expect it to be very crowded. Just seems like it's the place to be on the 4th! Thought it might be done up in red white and blue though. Ok thanks so much everyone for all your information

Hi mimimom! I know exactly what you mean! When we picked our our flooring for our kitchen and family room, we looked for colors/materials that would hide dirt well and be easy to clean!

I do remember they gave out small American Flag pins when I was there. Also, we stayed at POFQ and they had a special 4th of July BBQ by the pool with barbeque chicken, corn on the cob, watermelon, etc.

I wonder if POR does anything special. I should call and ask :)

Shhh.... It's supposed to be a secret! No one knows yet! I was waiting until he is born in a few weeks! :cool1: Although not sure how happy you'll be! I promise to keep him in the yard! :rotfl:

If i had my way thats when i would go everytime. Been four times and yes it is crowded and yes it is hot but when you know that and prepare for it , it is lots of fun but use morning emh and fp critical factors. you will love the fireworks no matter which one you go to. Mk is the bomb. :bounce: :cool1: :flower:

I would like more info on the 4th of July also. Do any of the parks do anything special to celebrate the holiday.
