It gets really good reviews...Just wondered if any budget boarders could offer their experience.

I go whenever I visit my family who live near the outlet.

depending on your shoe size, you can come out with great deals and great shoes. I've been told that the shoes that get returned to Zappos go to the outlet.

I wear a size 10 or 11 so my options are limited when I go. I specifically try to find Earth shoes since I like those.

You have to be patient and look at all the shoes in your size and see which sticker it has to see what percentage off it is and whatnot.

All sales are Final.

If you sign up with them, you can receive coupons in the mail.

If you were in the market for several pairs of shoes, would you drive 2 hours?

I would say, "why not?" You can go once and see if you like it.

It wouldn't hurt to go and see what they have but like I said I think it depends on your shoe size.

6 to 7.5. And I drive 1/2 hour each way to work every day so it's really not that bad a drive. I just fear going on a weekend! I hear the Gap distribution outlet is crazy on weekends and I imagine this would be the same.

ETA: I would look for my niece and nephews too but I've read on other review sites they don't usually have a good selection for kids.

I haven't been on a weekend. I've been the to Gap outlet and that was chaos.

I only go to the Zappos outlet after Christmas because that's when I'm in town.

Kids selection isn't great but you may find something.

I think your size will have a good selection. My friend who is a size 7 bought 5 pairs of shoes. She could have gone out with more.

Went last weekend, on a Saturday. It was busy, but not a madhouse. I wear 7.5 usually. I didn't find anything, but I was looking for tennis shoes. Now My DH found some tennis shoes. We also found shoes for DS (2.5) and two pair for DD(11). We spent $135 for four pairs of shoes, we saved $195 off the Zappos retail price.

Now it is worth going for us for several reasons 1) my kids don't work well with cheap shoes and 2) we are only about
25 minutes for there.

Since you live in Cincy, do you still recommend the Gap outlet? Someone told me it's not as good as it used to be.

Thank you! I am from Louisville originally and still have family there, so I have to check that out some time.

Gap outlet....yeah, I kind of agree. I used to go a couple times a year. I hadn't gone in a year or two and went this summer, but did not find anything that was a great bargain. I have a friend that is literally a size 0 and she finds all kinds of great deals on things like jeans, but I am fairly certain that is b/c she wears a size that most people don't. I wouldn't make a special trip from out of town for it. If you find yourself within an hour of it, it may be worth checking out, but that's it. My opinion of course.

Bummer. A friend got her daughter some uggs there (at Gap, not Zappos) and right now shoes are primarily what we're in the market for so I thought I might give it a shot, just to see what we could find. Then I ran across the Zappos outlet so I guess I'll head there instead.

The smaller you are, the more selection there is. But I can never find anything Pooh-sized for me. :confused3

If I were at my goal weight I would be about a size 4 so maybe I'll make my weight loss reward a trip there!

If you go, please give us a review! I'm still on the fence...I'm going to call and see if they have any upcoming sales. Maybe I will get someone extra nice and just plead with them to be honest with me about when the very best time to come is, since it's such a drive!

Well, I called. They post there Wacky Wednesday sales on Facebook after they do inventory Tuesday nights. Their facebook history shows some truly crazy deals- but it also sounds like it's a total madhouse on those days so maybe I just need to look for clearance on a non-super sale day? Or just pay extra, skip the drive and shop at Nordstrom Rack? Anyway, their facebook page is 6pmoutlet - guess 6pm and zappos are the same?

I live in Louisville and went last year. My only complaint was that everything is marked high and then there are a zillion discounts taken when you check out, but I wasn't clear on how much the discount would be until I paid. As it turned out, it was amazing and I would have bought more had I known upfront. But, yeah, you can get shoes like Clarks, Uggs, etc. for a fraction of the cost. I think the day I went I bought three pairs of shoes for about $40.

Do you know if there was a special sale running that day or if it was just any old day?
