Anyone been to the Jolly Roger Motel recently?

I just booked a stay at the Jolly Roger for our trip Nov.20-Nov 28,2009. I read 2 of their reviews. One person loved the place and all the upgrades they did and the other hated it.

Im traveling with my 3 kids, Husband and Mother in law. First time back for my mother in law in about 15 years.

I stayed there in September. The prices are good, for what you pay for. We walked to the parks every day (it took about 15 minutes), and it was tiring sometimes, but it was mostly okay for us. We will probably stay closer next time, in all honesty. But the price is RIGHT. We had a little trouble with our water one night, but they sent someone in to fix it pretty quick.

I read it was not well lit and that the rooms were not that great. Do they have a continental breakfast?

No continental breakfast, but they have a restaurant right next door. As for the lighting, it wasn't bad as far as I remember. The hotel itself was "fine." The only negative for me was distance.
