Hi There!

We will be in Orlando in a few days and are thinking of trying out one of these restaurants one night as a special treat.

We are a family of five with three teens.

Wondering if anyone has been to these Brazilian Steakhouses and if they felt it was worth the money?

Thanks so much!!

If you like meat they are, they also have a wonderful salad bar, but it's really all about the meat. We have been to both.

I've been to Texas de Brazil before (not in Orlando but at a mall in Illinois). It is DELICIOUS. You will feel stuffed to the brim when you walk out. If you and your family enjoy meat and can be big eaters, you'll love it! Like the previous poster said, their salad bar is amazing, too! And the sides are yummy.... Personally I think it's worth the money, but that's up to you to decide.

My tips: Join their eClub about a week before you go - they'll send a coupon! :-) Also, make sure you are VERY hungry when you go.

I've been to Fogo de Chao in Miami and would highly recommend. As the previous poster said, go hungry and pace yourself. I've been to another Brazillian Steakhouse outside of Miami, which was also fabulous, and half the cost, so be sure to check around before going with the two best-known spots.

I liked the salad bar better than all the meat, the meat was like meh to me. Yeah it was juicy and tender, but I've had juicy and tender meat before without paying that much .

So What is the Price of the Meal. ? $ 20 or $30 per Person + Tax & Tip

Is it a set menu of 3 courses And are soft drinks included ?

We've been to the Orlando TDB more than once but never to Fogo. We've tried 4 different tdb's and Orlando is our favourite location. For some reason I've always found the meat quality and cooking to be the best there. I don't know if it is because they are always super busy therefore one is always getting the meat quickly off the spike but I know it is always on our go to list :)

And yes pace yourself. The salad bar is always so good and it is easy to fill up there(which they encourage....lol)

I think the cost is closer to $50 pp but that just from memory and it has been a while. Review-wise, we liked it. I have 3 boys (teen+) and they can really put away food. So in our case it was worth it. This trip still gets talked about as a highlight. There were several different types of meat brought around and they all were flavored nicely and tasted good. You get a card that you can flip to green for "keep the food coming" or red if you are done for the night or want to take a break. They do have a good variety of things at the salad bar. Definitely go hungry to get the most bang for your buck..

I've been to the Fogo de Chao in Baltimore a few times. My suggestion is go for lunch on a weekday, it's less expensive (about $30 per person rather than $50).

It's an all you can eat salad bar and all you can eat meat. It's a lot of money, but potentially a lot of food. It's good, but it's too much meat for me.

Fogo de Chao is one of my favorite restaurants in Indianapolis when we visit. Our kids are 20, 17 and 13. They can eat a lot :) We also go for lunch, it is definitely much cheaper and just as great as others have said. We make it our main (and pretty much only) meal of the day. If you can do that, it would help with keeping the cost down, but either way, I'd definitely say it's worth it. It's a fun meal and nice time spent with family/friends. We have a Texas de Brazil here where we live but have not been there yet. Enjoy whatever you decide to do! :)

My kids just went to the Texas de Brazil one here in B'ham. They were raving about it. They compared it to eating dinner at Ohana. I'm a big Ohana fan and I like to leave that as a special treat for when we go to Disney. No bread pudding there for sure. :( I think they payed about $50 each for dinner here.
