Our mom got my sister and I a restaurant.com certificate for $25 there for our upcoming trip. We have never been there before. It is located in the Swan right? This looks like a very fancy place. What kind of dress code is it? Has anyone had the food there? I would love a link to a dining review. Would love some opinions on it! TIA!

This is a very nice restaurant. However, you'll find that there really isn't a dress code and there will be people there in park attire as well as those who have dressed up a bit. The later in the evening, the fancier you'll see the people.

The food is excellent and this is definitely a wonderful dining experience. There is more information here on the DIS, including the menu.

DH and I have eaten there twice and plan on going back next week while on vacation. We really enjoyed everything we have gotten there. Dh had Gnocci and i had the chick parm (they were both wonderful), the desert was great and they have a nice wine selection. Very attentive wait staff also.

NOTE: This is only one of five sit-down eateries we
patronize at WDW. The service is always exquisite
and the food very-good-to-excellent. I want to feel
important at a fine dinner, and IL Mulino does this
to their patrons. We felt the price-to-food/service
ratio to be of excellent value. We had two servers
who kept our glasses full and our needs always met.
It is good to be pampered.

I was there about a year ago. We loved our experience there. We dined in the bar area, looking for an informal dining experience. Upscale, urban atmosphere, most patrons, we wore dressy jeans and sweaters-button ups. Didn't see many patrons wearing park attire but this was perhaps due to a large presence of conventioneers.

We had Pinot Grigio and cocktails and shared a few appetizers and some absolutely lovely gnocchi.

Thanks so much for the info everyone. Do they calculate tip for you? I'm really not used to eating table service. We normally do CS every trip. We'll be trying Giordano's and this place this time. I keep hoping House of Blues would pop up at Restaurant.com. I've always wanted to try there.

They will calculate a tip if you're using a restaurant.com certificate. Usually those discounts require an automatic gratuity.

ITA. Indeed, you will find all kinds of attire there. We've seen it from suit and tie down to park clothes. However, they don't allow tank tops or sleeveless shirts (at least on men). One of the few times I have seen a dress code enforced at WDW, but we saw it back in 2010. Guy (possibly European) had a nice looking, but sleeveless, shirt on. Staff handled it well, and the guest was accommodating, but they didn't seat the party until he went back to the room and changed. The issue was with the lack of sleeves.

Il Mulino is an excellent restaurant with fantastic food. The restaurant.com certificate is a nice price break! Anytime we're staying in the area (Beach Club, Boardwalk, etc) we will go, or maybe even if we're not. Chicken parm was great, and the carbonara, tiramisu was delicious. If you drive they'll validate your parking for the Swan lot.
