I was thinking of heading into Florida's panhandle and then into Alabama. I found Gulf Shores Amusement Park from a search on www.rcdb.com, but I couldn't find any other info on it. It looks like they have a kiddie coaster too. So has anyone been here? If so, how is it? More importantly, will they let adults ride the kiddie coaster? :)

Thanks!

When are you going? I will talk to my dad and stepmother, who live there, sometime this weekend and can ask them for you. I have seen it but don't know too much about it.

I don't know about Gulf Shores Amusement park, but Waterville USA in Gulf Shores also has a wooden roller coaster.

Waterville USA

Naturally, none of these parks are going to offer you world-class coasters, but if you are in the panhandle and have never been, it is a nice area to visit.

I used to go when I was a kid. I loved it then. Sorry, but I don't remember much about it except it was fun.

There was a park with a roller coaster (even a kiddie one) when you were a kid?

The only thing I remember Pre-Frederick was Hollywood Park on the main drag near the Hangout. We went there a lot!

(Okay, I'm off topic but had to go back to my childhood as well)

Here's an email address for information: gsainc@gulftel.com

I have to go with the above poster, and plug Waterville...we always go there..I have family there, so I will ask my 16 year old cousin. She's a theme park nut, so I'm sure she'll have some input.

P.S. The biggest thrill in the area for most tourists is trying to cross the road coming from the Flora-Bama after drinking 12 beers and not get ran over by a big truck or a camaro. :teeth:

MScott, so true about local entertainment (Very funny.) I also have to agree about Waterville (I haven't even been in there for at least 4 years), but had fun last time there. Guess that I am getting older as I seem to stay closer to the condo or shopping these days. Sorry I couldn't provide any info. on the Amusement park
