I have an Adr for citricos on Superbowl Sunday. My husband is really resisting this, he thinks we should go to ESPN Zone to watch the game. I admit that I was foolish to plan a trip during the superbowl, but I can only imagine that ESPN Zone is a madhouse on this day. I am interested in hearing any experiences that people have had with this restaurant, on this particular day.

As much as I like football, there is no way in the world I'd want to be near the ESPN Club (it's a Club, not a Zone) on Super Bowl Sunday. If your husband wants to WATCH the game, that is definitely not the place to be. Loud would be an understatement as would crowded, hectic, and madhouse. Last place at Disney World I would want to be.

We were there 3 years ago for Superbowl and will be there again this year. Last time like this time we are staying at the Boardwalk so we had a front row view of the madness. ESPN zone was SO freaking crowded that they set up chairs and a huge screen on the boardwalk itself for people to watch the game and every chair was full and there were loads of people standing around just watching. I cannot imagine what a zoo it must have been inside.
There's absolutely no way you'd ever catch us trying to actually watch the game there.

No no no no no no

Got that? ;)

We were there when it was the Eagles/Pats and that was our plan. It was ridiculous and I swear you had to be there at the crack of dawn and hold your table the rest of the day.

I've heard that the All Star Sports Cafeteria has TV's set up all around (that sounds like a fun environment to me, idk about you...) But what we did was go back to the room and watch. It was a lot more sane.

We stayed at the Yacht club last year and we left on SuperBowl Sunday, but we did wander the boardwalk that day and the ESPN restaurant was setting up big screens and chairs outdoors too. It was early at that point, I'm not sure they were even open.

If you are the type that likes a big crowd to watch with..I think it would be really fun. I have no idea how early you would have to get there though, to get a seat inside.

Whichever you decide..have fun :-)

The pool bar at GF will be playing the superbowl (I am pretty sure, lol, they play games when they are on). The superbowl should be playing on the tv's in your room.

Another great place to watch the superbowl would be the Dolphin pool area.
If you are looking for a great meal in the area you are going to watch superbowl try IL Mulino or Blue Zoo.

I have been to the ESPN zone for one super bowl a few years ago (and will be there this year) and a few random seasonal games. Actually the super bowl was less crowded probably because less people at the resorts in general. My wife took the kids to the parks and I went to the games by myself. This is a great place to watch the game for adults. However, this is no place for kids, dont even think about a nice dinner for the family.
