Anyone been to Disney lately?

I know...dumb question. My real question is, while there, did you notice much High School Musical or Cheetah Girl merchandise? My daughter is really wanting to find some stuff that pertains to these two movies and I'm wondering where to look. Also, a while back I remember seeing something about Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique but I forgot about it and never made reservations. We want to go on the 28th or so and I made the mistake of telling my daughter about it back when I first heard. Well, she just remembered and reminded me so does anyone know how hard it might be to get reservations? Thanks

I haven't been since July and won't be back until Nov, but I wanted to tell you that Macy's and Kohl's have HSM t-shirts! They are really cute. Kohl's also has HSM nightgowns.

I'm am so hoping it is not too late to get into BBB. The nearest Kohls is about 80 miles away from me and go figure, I was in that town last night and didn't even think to go in there!

My dd7 (she'll be 8 by the time we go in Feb) is also crazy about HSM and CG. I think I remember from a previous thread that there is a HSM show in MK - maybe over by Space Mountain?? I know dd7 would also LOVE to see Hannah Montana - OMG, she would just die!

BTW, CG and HM (does anyone ever feel like all we do is abbreviate here??LOL) are coming to Houston on tour, but the tickets sold out within about an hour. So I thought it best not to mention to dd about the concert. Of course, I'm sure someone at school will be going, but I'm holding out for a miracle that dd won't catch on!!

CG are coming to the town we fly in/out of the day we come back from Disney but the show starts about an hour before we arrive! Is the show at Disney everyday or is it a special thing at the MK. My dd came down tonight and asked when we are going to be there because she heard on TV they will be there on the 22nd. Story of my life...a day late and a dollar short!

I haven't been to BBB yet, have seen great pictures... but if you can't get in there, the barber shop on Main Street in MK decorates hair too. They have always done a super job with my DD. So much so, usually when we go up mainstreet the photogs take a picture of just her hair! Just a thought if you can't get in.

GREAT! Thanks, I am glad that I might have another option if we can't get in. Since my dd has not been there, she won't know what she is missing. How much do they charge there to decorate hair?

We have always gotten our daughter's hair cut at the same time, and if you get it cut for $15, they don't charge any more for the decorations. (DD has long straight hair, just a trim across the bottom, but she loves that she has only had her hair cut at Disney!) and I believe that when I had mine decorated that it was $5!!!!! We usually tip well though.
They can put colored paint in, one year they made DD's hair look like fireworks! The next year they made it look like cinderellas hair with a glitter headband and lots of sparkle, with blue highlights, another time they put yellow and pink in to match her sleeping beauty dress. They sprinkle lots and lots of glitter and mickey confetti! It's the best kept "secret"! There are only two chairs, and they do not take reservations, but there is usually only 2-5 people in line. Once we went right as the afternoon parade was ending and there was NOBODY in line! They are perfectionists so each client does get alot of attention. A line of more than four or five, I would say try back, because you will be there awhile depending on what they are getting done. Each time we have been there, real male CMs were getting haircuts, which takes longer than the decorating! Have a blast! Everyone will ask where you got it done!

Update: WE GOT IN TO BBB! No problems at all and for the exact time I wanted! Both girls at the same time. They are going to be so excited! Now, to keep it a secret or not, that is the question!

We just came back at the end of August and we could not get an appointment the whole week for BBB. Don't know if you could make one this early. I have a phone number in my trip report because someone else asked about it. Maybe you will get lucky and someone will cancel.

They don't cut hair at BBB just style.
