Anyone been to Cypress Pointe in the last couple of weeks?

We'll be staying in the Grand Villas June 15-24 and were looking for the latest update on the painting, construction, etc... Also, we're looking for a suggestion on building/floor request. We'd like to be close to the pool(s) including the volcano pool at Cypress Pointe 1. We have a 1 bedroom reserved for 2 adults and 2 kids. Finally, does anyone know if there are laundry facilities onsite for people in the 1 bedroom units? Thanks.

I haven't been there recently (we'll also be there in June) but the resort posts pictures on this page http://www.cypresspointe.net/whatsnew.html at their website. As of the end of last week they were working on the re-design of the cafe inside the main building. Most of the exterior work is reportedly done but they've had delays in getting all of the local permits to complete the recreation area (work expected to include new gas grills, a gazebo, etc.). The HOA's treasurer, Stu Schwartz, posts somewhat regular construction updates in the Florida forum at www.tug2.net (Timeshare Users Group website).

Buildings 4 and 6 are the closest to the Volcano pool but the resort is fairly compact so it's not much of a walk to the pool area from any of the phase I buildings. I can't answer your question on laundry facilities.
