Anyone been to Blackbeard's Castle?

Are you talking about on St. Thomas??? It has been years since I have been to St. Thomas and I remember them showing us a famous hotel named Blackbeard's Castle and it looked like a castle. It may have had a restaurant but then again it may be something totally different or changed since then....
Sorry not much help.

I have been there for dinner but it was 16 years ago on my honeymoon :sunny: At that time it was very good and they had outdoor seating overlooking the water.

DCL lists it on the website as "other" things to do while in port. I was thinking of checking it out.

The more I've thought about this, I think the restaurant that we ate at is called Bluebeard's not Blackbeard's. I don't know what Blackbeard's is! Sorry!

This is in St. Thomas according to the DCL site. Anyone ever eaten here? I'd love to know what you had and how it was. Sounds like fun, if the food was good!

Here is from the blackbeardscastle dot com web site:

Charm and atmosphere abound at our unique hotel in perfect harmony with the great stone tower known as Blackbeard's Castle. The individuality of each room echoes nostalgia, but air conditioning, private baths, Cable television, three fresh water pools are some of the features that provide today's traveler with unexpected comforts.

"This cozy hilltop inn is laid out around a tower from which, it's said, Blackbeard kept watch for invaders sailing into Charlotte Amalie harbor. Mahogany furnishings, including four-poster beds, lend a 17th-century feel to the place, yet each room has many modern conveniences."
Stay where the real pirates of the Caribbean roamed. Legendary port for Blackbeard the pirate, St. Thomas historians trace the Skytsborg Tower of 1679 through history. Today, couples come to the Tower's romantic setting for wedding vows, while at other times, children enjoy climbing the tower and imagining themselves on pirate quests. See more about the history & lore of Blackbeard and historic St. Thomas places including Haagensen House and Villa Notman.

You'll find other treasures here too. Your views of the ships passing in the harbor, and night lights in the town of Charlotte Amalie are spectacular.

The Inn at Blackbeard's Castle Restaurant is now available exclusively for private catering events including wedding receptions, pre-nuptial dinners, business meeting dinners and awards banquets.

Hope this helps
