Anyone been to Beaches and Cream recently?

I had read on some threads that B&C has recently gone downhill, is serving the nasty CS burgers.

Has anyone been fairly recently, that could confirm or deny that? We will be there this Friday, and I was planning on a burger, but if it has truly gone bad, I may just go for the steak sandwich, or we may avoid Beaches altogether.

Insight would be much, much appreciated!

The burgers were still good, but like everything else not as good as they used to be. My DD got the kids hot dog and the bun fell apart just like the ones at Casey's.

We still like it there and I'm sure will eat at B&C our next visit also.

Hi, been a few weeks ago and DW had the burger and I the steak sandwich. Both were ok nothing special, we mainly went for the sundaes.

We had a great server which made all the difference. Will definately go again.

I guess my concern stems from how much I loathe Disney's CS burgers.

We have always loved B&C, but it has been several years since we've been. And, as I said, I hate hate hate CS burgers. And there is such a HUGE disconnect for me personally between B&C and anything else we've had at Disney.

We've been planning this trip for over a year, and B&C has always been planned to be a part of it. It would be a major bummer if things have gone significantly downhill since our last visit.

Actually I was there in November and the burgers were very good. I noticed no downgrade in taste. :thumbsup2

If you're looking for a great burger, try the Dolphin Fountain (Dolphin hotel). We used to be big fans of B&C, but then we tried Dolphin Fountain and decided that the burgers were better there. :teacher:

We just returned from our December trip friday and ate at Beaches N Cream and to me it is as good as ever, no complaints. We have been going there at least once every visit because we enjoy it and we go down at least three times a yr. If you are looking for gourmet than this is not the place, but for a soda shop its yummy and we wouldn't pass it up. Hope this helps

We just ate there at the beginning of the month. All was good, except the long wait, lol. That's to be expected.

The burgers were excellent during our end of Sept./beginning of Oct. trip. We had not had them before so I can't comment if there was any change to them, but we understood what the hype was about!

We ate at B&C a few weeks ago and it was fantastic. It was as good as always. My wife and I split a double cheeseburger and it was very good. We had eaten at Peco's Bills a few nights earlier and B&C was a million times better then that.

I thought I read on the DVC boards that Hurricane Hannahs now serve the same burger that they have at B&C!

That is correct. When we were there in early December, we all had the burgers at Hurricane Hannah's. And because my DH loved the burgers there, we went to B&C the next night to get another one....while DD6, DD8, and I all had ice cream sundaes :goodvibes

Hey all! Thanks for the response. I am feeling a smidgen better bout the whole thing! Will be there in three days!

I'll be interested in hearing your opinion when you return. We had burgers at Hurricane Hannah's a couple of weeks ago and . . . eh. Not bad. Just . . . eh. Tasted like counter service (which, of course, it is) to me.

We were there just two weeks ago and had their cheeseburgers and loved them as always. We eat there at least twice on every trip and we have not noticed a difference in quality or taste. Then we get to eat their delicious No Way Hose.

Oh noooooooooo, now I am back to being worried. Lol.

I had no been before two weeks ago, so I have nothing to compare, but it was a VERY good burger and I produce beef for a living. I also liked that you could have it cooked your way. OTOH service was very lacking.
