Anyone been in August/ June.... Can't decide...opinions pls!!!

OK... I am wondering what weather and crowds are like in August compared to June?
We are thinking June 3 - 10 or August 12 - 19....
When would you go and why?

We didn't do June but we did July and August. The same August week you indicated. I'd pick August for the crowds (or lack of them). US schools vary when they go back but alot were going back about that time. Compared to July, the August crowds were at least 50% less. My thoughts!

We went Aug 2005 over those days and the crowds were very lite to us as we are used to going at easter. So I would pick Aug.

I'd do June, less crowds, less humidity and less of a chance of hurricanes.

We've been about that time in August and the crowds weren't too bad. But when we went at the end of August, there were almost no crowds. If you could put it off one more week, I'd do it. The heat is pretty intense but I found I got used to it and we swam for the hottest parts of the day when most people were at the parks.

Is there a difference in room rates/seasons for on-site resorts? I know that August is low season in the deluxe resorts...if you're going to stay in one, that might be a factor. AKL is actually pretty reasonable at low season if you have an AP.

We were there from Aug 16-25th last year. The crowds were pretty reasonable, but the heat and the humidity were brutal.

We went the week of June 17 last year and it was really busy and extremely hot.

Each day was extremely humid and between 27-30 degrees C and it rained quite a bit while we were there (in fact I think there was only 1 or 2 days that it didn't rain at all). All though the rain showers could go by quite quick it was long enough to soak you, plus it usually rained at night.

As for crowds, there was about aqn average of an hour wait. Rockin' Rollercoaster was usually a 2 hour wait, TOT varied sometimes it was a walkon sometimes it was a 30-45 min wait.

The one upside which I am not sure whether they still have it in June was the Extra Magic Hours. We could stay in the Parks till Midnight and it is definately an experience riding all of the rides that late, plus the parks usually empty out a lot by then.

I think we have decided to wait until the fall...late Sept - early Nov.
I am worried that the heat will be too much for my disabled dd who's in a wheelchair all day!
WE have been in May, Oct and Nov.
Does anyone know when Jersey Week is?
