We leave Friday (9/10) for an 8 day stay at POR and I was just wondering how the parks did through Hurrican Frances. This is our first visit, so we are not sure what to expect, but was a little currous with Hurrican Frances (and now Hurrican Ivan). How are the crowds or are the parks empty.

Thanks

I don't think today is a fair indicator of what to expect during your vacation. Today, they are asking locals to stay home and off the streets. WDW asked all resort guests to use WDW transportation because of the questionable nature of the roads and weather. We've had numerous tornado warnings today as the remnants of Frances move through. On Friday, just prior to the hurricane, I was at Epcot. The crowd was very light, but that was probably due to the fact that many people cancelled the remainder of their trip to leave the area and locals were busy preparing for Frances.

I was at the MK today...no crowds at all, everything was at a walk on...FP system not being utilized, most wait-times posted at "0" or blank. The monorail system was not running until early afternoon. Completed the park in a couple hours then went to Universal and found it just as quiet. Did both parks there, rode the Mummy 3 times, no waiitng...walked on everything else, and did some twice as well.
