Just wondering if anyone is currently at Disney, or just returned this week. I'm just curious how the crowds are....if they are picking up at all, or if the lines are still nice and short?

Any updates would be great - thanks! :)

We just got back last night from our time there. We were there Sat 9/16-Wed 9/20.

We didn't see any wait time over 20 minutes for any of the headliners with the exception of Dumbo, which always seemed to be an hour during the day. We waited only 10 minutes when we rode it at night.

Most FastPass machines were open. We had a FP for EE, and from the time we walked in the ride entrance to walking out of the gift shop at the end was 10 minutes, including ride time.

The popular restaraunts were booked solid, or only had seatings after 9:30pm. Saturday's Chef Mickey was booked solid, so was Sunday's 50's Prime Time Cafe, and Tuesday's 1900 Park Fare. We were able to walk into San Angel Inn on Monday at 4:30pm and get seated at a table on the river immediately.

We followed the Unnofficial Guide's least busy park plans when making our touring plans and avoided Extra Magic Hours.

I was very pleased at the crowd levels.

The longest we waited for anything was the Princess character greeting in Mickey's Toontown Fair. We waited 30 minutes because it seemed VIP guests were ushered in before us, so while the other character lines zipped by, ours crawled.

Resort busses were packed in the mornings and evenings.

We were there 9/11-9/18..the only ride we needed to use fast pass was Kilimanjaro Safaris'. We were offsite, arrived at opening and avoided EMH parks. Everything at MK was a walk on, same with Epcot (though Soarin had about a 20 min wait later in the day) At AK the Safari had about a 30 min standby while everything else was walkon (EE did have a little wait later in the day). Don't know if you are hitting Universal or Sea World but those rides were also walkon. Sea World was practically empty. Only Jaws at Universal had a wait and that was only about 15 minutes. Back to the Future did have a line but it broke down so we couldn't ride anyways. Hope this helps...

Thanks for the responses - very helpful!! I'm hoping we get similar crowd levels as you both!
I have not been worried about the crowds until now - I called Disney a couple of nights ago to see about getting a room for my brother's family (last minute). All I kept hearing was "booked, booked, booked" and it freaked me out! Oh well. We have our touring plans in place and will just do the best we can.

Thanks for your input! :thumbsup2

Awesome!

We leave this Saturday. I am so excited! I swear I can't get a thing done at work today.

Maybe because I'm hangin' out on the Dis...

We were there from 9-6 through 9-13. Never used a Fastpass and most times they were not offered anyway. Get there in the morning and you will have the park to yourself for a couple of hours. I agree avoid EMH. I think the longest wait time was 20 mins and that was Peter Pan. :thumbsup2

I agree with the sudden panic. I know that the AKL is suddenly booked the last night of our trip (9/29) with only "Standard" rooms available. The previous nights (9/27 & 9/28) there is availabilty at almost every room level. Guess the end of our trip may be a lot busier than the beginning...
