I keep getting great deals from Norfolk to Orlando and vice versa but they are not for my dates...yet. We leave the 16th of December and return the 26th. Has anyone flown SW right around Christmas from this area...what was your best deal? Our tickets two years ago were outrageous!!! :confused3

Thanks for any help!!!

nope sorry. I went the first week in dec last year but i don't remember the cost.

I just booked my trip to WDW for Thanksgiving day through expedia and got a great deal. Delta airlines now has nonstop flights out of ORF and after comparing the Delta website and the SW site for prices I got the Delta through expedia for $165 round trip!! SW would have been over 200!!

Good luck to you!!

You will not be finding good deals during that time period, and the more you wait, the more the prices will go up. It is a much traveled period. I would wait it out a little longer, but book by September. Also check airTran's fares from Newport News. They fly Newport-Orlando non-stop.

Thanks!! Yea, I can't book SW yet anyway, they only have dates through the 12th at this point. The prices up through the 12th are good, better than when we traveled. But the closer to Christmas it gets, the worse they will probably become!!

Tara, thanks for the Expedia advice. I had heard about Delta but my original comparison from their site was worse than two years ago on SW. I didn't think about Expedia!!! Great idea. Were you basically able to get what you needed by booking through Expedia or did you have to be extremely flexible?

Thanks

Hi catwub,

Delta only has one flight a day right now so i had to take what they offered. But I left the day I wanted (thanksgiving day) and am returning the day I wanted to. I'm bummed that I will have to leave WDW by 10 that morning, but it actually works better since I have to work the next day and my son has to go back to school. lol! So I think it was the fates telling me what I should do!!

You can check out expedia just to compare without having to buy anything.

Let us know what you get!!
