Anyone Against Disney Vacation Club?

As others have said, DVC is not for everybody. But I'm convinced that it was a good decision for me. I also love to travel to other places. I've been to all 50 states at least once, and even went back to Hawaii this spring using my DVC points. I'll be taking several trips to WDW in the next few months, but that will probably be pretty unusual. I'll usually try for a WDW trip per year, along with at least one other trip somewhere else each year. You can see why I chose the nickname "travelbug". I'm a travel addict. Fortunately I'm very good at saving and budgeting, so that I'm able to indulge my desire to travel. DVC is one very nice piece of my total travel plans. Plus, I'm already having the time of my life sharing trips to WDW with family members who couldn't go as easily otherwise. Anyway, that's most of my personal reasons for being a DVC member. Good luck as you decide! :D

I'm afraid we'd get tired of DW. I'm with the other poster about visiting Europe, and other such.

What about selling points? Or renting them? Do you break even? Is it hard to get rid of them in years when you can't use them?

One thing I would like about it is how easy it would be to take friends and family.

We were afraid of this too, but it hasn't turned out that way. We have been members for almost 8 years now and have not yet "traded out". We've gone to Vero and HH but spend most of out time at OKW. (You can go to DW without going to DW....especially at OKW :) )
