Anybody waiting for Monday, and already book airfare?

I just booked our airfare, as it has already gone up a tad since last week. It went up right after free dining was offered to Visa holders!! This will be our 3rd FD trip, and I have always waited to confirm dates before booking airfare. I am so nervous, I hope I get through Monday early, and get the dates I just booked. The reason i did this was that for the past 2 years, it always went up after I booked our trip. UGH!!! I just hope it works out. Anybody else waiting for Monday, and already have flights???

We booked our plane tickets for 8/17-8/25 from Detroit to Orlando several weeks ago for 4 of us. It was $365 TOTAL!

Then we got the Disney Visa and crossed our fingers. Guess we got lucky!!!

I booked a few weeks ago (it feels like so much longer... this past month has aged me so.) on Delta for 180$ roundtrip, per person. So 400$ for the two of us. Not bad, for 8/25-9/1, non-stop flights, at really good times.

We booked our dates using our US Airways points. This was well before any announcement of FD. Our birthdays are Sept 23 & 24 so we were going no matter what. It will be really nice if we can get the resort we want and FD tomorrow.

I got the bounceback free dining so I booked early in Feb. Our airfare has gone up $700, in total for 5 tickets

The problem is I am going as a Grand Gathering, and because my relatives did not want to book flights until they got free dining, they may have to pay more or leave at screwy times of the day.

They were not confident enought to believe me, that Free dining would come out.

The funny thing is this year I was a 100% confident, because of the economy. Every other year I have my fingers crossed. So I will wait and watch them panic.

I was really crossing my fingers, as I booked airfares from Australia!!!

The airfares were cheap to LA (only about AU$1000) and I got return airfares from LAX to MCO for AU$400...I figured for that price it would be a crime not to come...

So the planning of the solo birthday trip with (fingers crossed) free dining...has started!

And I only have 6 months...last year's trip was 18 months in the making....
