I saw the website advertised in the mousesavers newsletter. It looks interesting, but wanted to see if anyone here ever used it.
It is worth the money? :bounce:

I asked yesterday Colleen and only Cindy B. answered. I did a search last night and got a lot of info that way. Still haven't decided whether to get it or not.

Thanks! Considering my trip is at the END of next year, I could get a lot of use out of it! :p

PS LOVE THE TAG! ;)

I am planning a July trip and took the plunge and got TGM.
I have to say I have mixed feelings.
On one hand I have been approx every 6 months for the last few years and am a faithful DIS'er. That being said I wanted to get more out of my planning. My only weakness is planning on which park to go to each day and what order to see the attractions.
I would have picked completely different parks than the program did. I think that's a good sign and hopefully he is correct. The specific order is not suggested other than by blocks of the day. I was hoping for more specifics.
The information is substantial and very easy to get lost in. The photo tours are largely missing as well.
I feel like I got my dollars worth and I did use the coupon.

Yes, it's worth the money for me! I purchased my tourguidemike automated vacation planner and it's very useful. It will send me e-mail notifications when I need to call for Priority Seating arrangements (for the restaurants of my choice), there are a ton of vacation planning articles not available to the public and they're great to read! Vacation articles include, intenerary planning for on-site guests, which days are best for what parks, stratigies for getting the most from your vacation without over doing it, etc. I could go on and on but I won't! Visit www.tourguidemike.com and he'll take you thru a tour of the vacation planner and you can decide if it's right for you.

BTW, I also heard about it thru the mousesavers newsletters. Gotta love them!

I signed up for TGM last November. It was just released at the time.

Long story short: there are a lot of things that are not yet completed on the site. Pictures and some articles for instance. TourGuide Mike told me in January that the one article I was looking for would be published within a week. It was not published. A few weeks ago I wrote to him again and inquired about the article again. He wrote to me and said he would get it within a week. Well that was 3 weeks ago and still no article. As a matter of fact, I just finished my trip to WDW, too, so it's obviously way too late.

Maybe not a major big deal, but something to consider.

It is a nice site, but it's not up to date as of yet.

I have been to Disney many times, and have pretty much all the touring books that there is to have. I subscribed to Tourguide Mike thinking that there would be alot of new material for me to read. If you have never been to Disney, or it has been awhile, you will probably find this site to be a good source of information.
On the other hand, other than some of the trivia facts, you can gain the same information from this board, and other Disney Guidebooks. The touring plans for our trip pretty much followed the itenerary I found in the Unofficial Guide. If I had previewed the site for free first, I probably would not have subscribed myself.
