Anybody use the new Disney Vacation Account fund yet?

Augh, so frustrating. I thought I had read the fine print so well. I spent $1250 from my account after it had been open about 100 days thinking I would get the bonus so long as I requested it 120 days after the account was opened regardless of when I SPENT the money. Oh well. Lesson learned. $25 Disney gift card forfeited. At least I got more than $90 cash back on my credit card statement from getting the disney gift cards. Still makes it worthwhile as I never could have managed so many gift cards in such large amounts otherwise.

I thought about requesting a refund from WDW back to the DVA to respend it after the 120 day mark, but I just don't trust Disney IT enough to make sure it all goes smoothly. Not worth the $25 if it goes wrong.

I loaded my account with more money than I actually needed to pay off my vacation package. When everything was paid off I then requested the balance of the account be put on a gift card. So they mailed me a gift card with $900 on it. It's a much easier way to pay off my room charges than trying to carry around a stack of $50 gift cards I bought at target. I also got the bonus gift card too.

How long did it take to receive the gift card with the balance? I don't want to request it too early but I want to receive it in time. Thanks!

Turkey1031, did you get the bonus for the amount you put on a gift card as well, or just for your package? My intention was to do the same as you but I didn't think I would get "credit" for the money on a gift card.
