Pic courtesy of shopdisney.com. Have any of you seen this journal in the parks? I casually looked for it when DH & I were there back in January...I saw several of the princess journal books, but not this one.
I was going through some old stuff in a bedroom closet last year and stumbled across this travel journal that my great-grandmother had written when she and my then 7-8 year old grandmother went on a steamer ship from the east coast to Norway and then vacationed in Norway visiting relatives for a good part of the summer. It was fascinating reading my great grandmother's daily entries in the journal. She wrote about mundane things like what they had to eat (apparently, she was a big fan of coffee cake in the morning & afternoon plus cocktails every evening), but there was also these awesomely fun nuggets like how all the kids on the ship on the upper deck one day had a little patriotic parade around the ship.
I think it would be great to start keeping a Disney trip journal and just add to it every time we go to DL or WDW. And just hang onto this book forever...because who knows...some day, my grandchildren's kids might stumble across this and think, "I wonder what it was like going to WDW in the middle of the pandemic of '20-'21?"
