Nov. 11 - - "A mother and child are safe after a horrifying ordeal in South Korea where they were dragged by a moving train.

The dramatic moments were caught on surveillance tape.

Lee-Chanee pushes her buggy and tries to enter an underground train in Seoul.

She gets caught between the doors.

A passer-by rushes to help, but just then the doors close and both are dragged by the train.

You can see in the video as the baby falls to the floor.

Someone immediately picks up the infant.

Fortunately the train stopped and both mom and baby are okay."



I saw this just now on the news and it was so scary. I can't imagine being that mom. The two front wheels of the stroller got stuck in the subway doors when they closed while she was still on the platform. The subway then started to take off pulling stroller, baby and mom with it. Luckily the baby must not have been buckled or else it was a quick buckle to undo because she was able to get the baby out and it landed on the platform where someone grabbed it. The mother and someone who tried to help her were dragged a ways though.
Could have ended much worse!

It's horrifying, but to actually watch the tape is ever worse.

It was so scary to watch on TV. I was on the phone and had to put the phone down to watch the video! They said on the news that the mother's jacket was caught in the doors as well, that's another reason why she was being dragged. Thank goodness they got the baby out of the stroller in time!!!

I saw it on the news. The first time they played the vid I didn't think she got the baby out. Then they played it again, and I saw her drop the baby. Its amazing that nothing REALLY bad happened.

Scared me to death because after being dropped the baby didn't move, even when a passerby picked the baby up!

That is a quick thinking mom!! Hero of the day for me!

I saw that tonight and just kept imagining myself in that situation. It was so scary to watch. I didn't get to hear the whole report on the news and didn't know whether everyone was OK or not. Thanks for posting.
