Anybody own a memory foam mattress, looking for budget advice on purchasing one.

I have a Tempurpedic that I love. Its so comfortable that I have a hard time sleeping when we travel since the bed is never comfortable enough. I do not get hot from the bed, but I do have a hard time finding sheets and getting them to stay on.(I have the Celebrity bed, now discontinued), man is that sucker a thick mattress and topper!

We purchased through 1-800-mattress, they have a time period where you can test the mattress for so many days and if you don't like it, they will exchange it out.

Thank you for all of your replies. We have some shopping around to do!

I got a Novaform (not the gel, they didn't have the gel back then) in Costco in 2007. It is still in good shape and I like it very much. It's the bed not just the topper. I did try the topper and hated it. I like the form, I just didn't like it kept sliding off the bed.

I would also recommend Costco or Costco.com for the NovaForm brand that they sell. The quality is great and they are a LOT less expensive then the big name brand memory foam mattresses. We have had our King for almost a year now and couldn't be happier with it. Our 9 year old daughter loved ours so much, we ended up buying a new twin size memory foam mattress from Costco for her also.

We bought ours online at walmart.com. Its called Spa Sensations and comes in different thicknesses. We chose the 8" and haven't regretted it. It conforms to your body and its amazing. The price was even more amazing! We bought a queen size for us and a twin for our son and together it was less than 400! :) We don't use box springs with them and instead bought the steel smart base bed frames to go with them. We love them and are so thankful and happy that we didn't have to drop thousands of dollars down for the comfort we have. Its like sleeping on a cloud. :cloud9:

I have been sleeping on a memory foam mattress for several years and am disappointed.....hasn't improved my memory one bit.

We don't have one but a friend recently purchased a king sized from Costco and he swears by it. Says it is the most comfortable night's sleep he's ever experienced and it was about half the cost of the memory foam brand name mattress.

I second and third the recommendation to get whatever mattress from Costco. They have the only true warranty in the business. After spending $1400 on a Simmons brand mattress that developed a crater in the middle after a year, and finding out how they (and just about everybody else from my research) handles warranty complaints (not at all), I went to Costco, because they actually will accept returns, even for reasons, like its too hard.

DH and I got the Bed in A Box brand king size mattress earlier this year and we are really happy with it.

Did you buy a foundation or box spring? Did it come as a set?

We got bedinabox too and loooove it! I put mine on our old box springs--you definitely don't have to buy their foundation--but I'm planning on buying a platform foundation for it because I really dislike my old bed frame. I don't know anything about BIAB's foundations. I assume they're fine, but Target and Wayfair have great deals on platform beds that are really attractive.

We have the Icomfort Savant, king sized bed and we love it. It is so comfy, yet supportive. Best purchase we ever made and we don't have the adjustable base, just the regular one.
