Anybody make anything from the recipe board from disney?

We've made the Ginger Carrot Soup from Boma a number of times. It comes out really delicious. I've tried to lighten it too, since it calls for A LOT of butter and cream, and it comes out equally good that way.

I have made the Cheddar Cheese Soup from LeCelier and it turned out very good. Plan on trying the Muligatawny soup from Boma which was my favorite!

Thanks for the link to that website....I didn't even know it existed! I would love it if someone had the recipe for the honey/macadamia butter that they serve at the Kona. I guess I could figure out the recipe myself, but thought someone might already have it...??

For those who have made the Kona sticky wings, the recipe states to fry the wings, but at the end of the recipe, it lists ingredients for "poaching liquid". Are you supposed to poach the wings first, then just fry to crisp them?

I've done the Milky Way cake and my mom has done the breakfast lasagna. Both were huge hits!

I made the Sticky Toffee Pudding from Rose and Crown for my husband's birthday and he loved it as much as he did when he had the real thing. The custard was a pain and it took me two tries, but I got it to work.

I made the sun dried tomato and basil dip from Tony's. Not sure if the recipe is on that site, but a wonderful Diser passed it along to me. It came out great and was a huge hit!! It was easy to make and I just made some Sunday! It tastes just like Tony's!!

OH YUMMY Could you pass that one along??

Can someone help me? I want to make this tonight:

Yield: 15 servings, adjust accordingly for smaller batches

Ingredients

¾ pound white cabbage, shredded
¾ pound red cabbage, shredded
3/8 pound carrots, shredded

Dressing
¾ pound mayonnaise
1/8 pound sugar
1/8 quart white vinegar
3/8 ounce mustard seed
To taste salt and pepper to taste

Method

1. Combine all the ingredients in a large bowl and mix well.

2. Check seasonings and adjust as needed.

But how much is 1/8 pound of sugar or 3/4 pound of mayo, etc!?!? I want measurements:(

I've been meaning to try the Maui Scalloped potatos from Ohanas. Has anyone ever made them? The recipe doesn't seem right to me - it looks to simple for something so yummy :)

They have become a staple in our house and I have even jazzed them up by using sweet potatoes and a white/sweet potato combo. I have never had them from Disney but look forward to my ADR for Sept at Ohana. They are VERRRRRRYYYYY easy to make and taste so yummy. I just wish red onions werent so expensive.

I have made the curried chicken too. *smacks lips* and the cheese soup and the cobb salad(from brown derby). Oh and the buttermilk chicken from POP. I have had to substitute a few ingredients for some of the recipies that I could not find around here (like Moosehead beer) or couldnt afford but they still tasted really good.

One of our favs is the cranberry broccoli salad from ???the beach club clambake..i think??? Regardless it is a super simple recipie and very good for potlucks. Easy to make, healthy and yummy besides. Try using the orange flavored Craisins instead of the regular. I bought them by accident once and didnt have time to get more so I had to use them. Truthfully I think the recipe tastes better with them. HINT: let it marinate overnite for best flavor.

I made these for the first time last week - I haven't been to Ohana's yet, so I don't know if they are the same, but they were delicious! I thought it was too simple, too, but they were a big hit!

I've also made LeCellier Cheddar Soup, 50's PrimeTime Pot Roast, Strawberry Soup, - all were awesome. I have a big list of the others I want to try - we won't be back to WDW for quite some time, so this is the closest I'll get to Disney dining. :goodvibes I have a big list of want to try recipes - some of meals I've had, others of meals I'd like to have next time I'm there.

Thanks for the link. I was unaware of this site. Where else can I find Disney recipes. Does the DIS have a recipe board? I guess I've just never thought to look. :(

I've made the cheddar cheese soup from Le Cellier several times, and that always turns out really well. Could use some pretzel bread though. ;) I've also made the breakfast potato casserole from Akershus, but that wasn't nearly as good as the original.

It's not easy as the density of each ingedient would be different (a cup of salt will weigh differently than a cup of water).

BUT, for Sugar, one pound is about 2 and 1/4 cups. so 1/8 pound is slightly more than a 1/4 cup.

My DH and I have made it a few times, and we love it!! We haven't even had the real deal yet!

The sourdough bread works the best, although Italian bread is okay as well. We loooove the bananas but this past weekend I got a mind to "add" to it....don't shoot me!!!
We bought some of that ready made cheesecake stuff and I piped it in alongside the bananas....O....M.....G....you wanna talk gooooooood!!!

We make ours with egg beaters and substitute splenda for sugar (my DH is diabetic. We also use (sparingly) Mrs Butterworths sugar free syrup.

Fabulous!!!
