Yes, we've done this, both with cash and traveler's checks. Just put down the amount you'd like to charge against when you check in to your resort. Yes, you can ask for a printout at any time during your stay. When you check out, any leftover funds will be given back to you in cash (even if you put down traveler's checks in the first place).cheerful chickadee said:speaking of using resort ID's for charging...is it possible to put cash or traveler's checks down on our account and charge from that or does it have to be a credit card? I've seen people say that they use cash also, just explain it to the cm when checking in and getting your resorts ID's? I've read that you can also go and ask for a printout of your charges at any time, add more money, etc. I need to know if this is correct or not so I can plan what to do money wise
One other question...when you use your resort ID to charge say dinner...is the bill treated just as a credit card where they bring it to your table and you enter the tip then sign for it? Thanks for any answers!

About the restaurants, it's exactly like using a CC, and just like you described.
