Hi:

Just came back from a stay at poly and did not really like the new ordering system at captain cooks.

My daughter has food allergies and everything she looked at to eat she had questions about. She had to send back a turkey sandwich as it was processed turkey, but there was no way to know this on the ordering list. We were a long time putting our orders in as I and her both have food allergies, we had to remove alot of things from each order and there was no one to speak to to find out about the food additives etc.

Looking at Deb wills menus before we left said that she could get a sliced turkey sandwich so we thought it would be like at konas sliced off the turkey, but it was not " Multigrain Turkey Club - sliced turkey breast with Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, bacon and honey-dijon mayonnaise on a multigrain sunflower bread $7.99"

So we ended up driving to the riverside mill and there were quiet a few things that she could eat there and you can actually speak to someone about additives. Where could we express our problems with the new ordering system for people with food allergies?

Anyone else not like the ordering system at capatain cooks?

It wasnt really that big a deal but we ordered a flatbread and a strawberry frozen drink...the cashier said you cannot have the drink because we dont serve them, that should have been removed....

We were at the Poly for 4 days and they never did remove it from the self order thing

No flames, here, but I'd expect to have a slight delay due to food allergies. Was there no CM to talk to around?

We used the order system for the first time ever during free dining last sept. There was a cast member available in the lobby/seating area each time we were in there and he assisted various guests with the order process. I had to have him help me take something off the pork sandwich (coleslaw, i think) and he was able to show me once and i got the hang of it for the next time. I think you should have just gone straight to the counter to talk to a CM about your issues.

Hi NikkiBell: (I understand you didn't mean any harm"

We have lived with her migraines for a long time and know that everything we do takes longer, but we felt guilty holding everyone else behind us up.

We didn't care about our wait, we were feeling quite anxious after 20 minutes of making mistakes and at that point (all we wanted to know about the sandwich was the turkey a cold meat (processed type or cut right off the roasted turkey breast) we still did not know what was in parts of her order for example the coleslaw (we need to know most of the major ingredients or she can be sick with a single severe cluster migraine for a week)

We felt we were holding up the food line for other guests as there were about 4 other guests standing behind us waiting to put in their order, this is after we let a couple of people go ahead of us.

All I am saying is we really needed to speak to someone, all there was was the cashier who could not help us as she was busy cashing people out. We have stayed at the poly about 4 other times in the past 15 years in a split stay with the visit resort only end of our vacation, and the process was you went up and spoke to someone who could tell us what was in each order and that was that.

We didnt really like the ordering system at all. If you wanted french fries with your kids meal- you had to pick something else- then tell them when you went to pay that you wanted to switch to french fries- A pain to remember. And I agree- if you wanted to switch anything about your order it was a big pain too.
