anybody have pictures of parks right now

Soarin' is at 210 now. Who in their right mind would stand in line for 3.5 hours for that??

I spent the day at Magic Kingdom and was able to get on all the rides we wanted to do between 9:00 and 11:00. After that the wait times got a little insane, but with our 3 FP+ we sailed right on to 3 rides after lunch. I overheard quite a few parents telling their unhappy kids that they wouldn't be able to get on any rides today.

I figured first week in January couldn't be worse than Christmas week....guess I was wrong.

The holiday crowds are expected to remain until the first weekend of January. That being said, forewarned is forearmed; at least you'll know what to expect and can prepare for it. Best of luck!

Saw this on twitter:

Is that the FP+ line for Spaceship Earth?

:rotfl2:

On MDE they are showing Test Track at 230 minutes!! (6:30 pm)
We were just there on Friday and got to fast pass (+ and -) with about 10 minutes each and saw the standby go up to 70 minutes, but this? Who is spending 4 hours in line?

ETA - this must be a miss print on MDE as Lines App show it to be 100 minutes right now. Reported wait times had a post at 5pm for Soarin at 160 minutes.

Easywdw says that Peter Pan is at 150 minutes right now. That just blows my mind!

It looks like it did when we went Christmas week 2011.

I always say, you do not know what crowded is like until you have been to Disney World the week of Christmas. I have never been so crowded in my life before or even after that trip!

:)

We spent a New Years Eve at MK many years ago. We didn't even try to ride anything - we just took it all in. It was almost impossible to walk anywhere. I decided at that point that we would never spend any part of that week at WDW.

I am getting panicky...please someone tell me it won't be like THAT on Jan 1-4. ???

It may not be that crowded but it could be this crowded. These are pictures from that time frame last year. These were from January 2nd. 2013 about 3:30 in the afternoon. That being said, this was the only time I felt closed in during my trip from Dec. 31 to Jan 6th.

In this picture I just missed catching the sign that says "Line for Haunted Mansion Starts Here". It's just off frame to the left.
The pictured area tends to be congested on a normal day, so it may not be the best representation of crowds today anyway.

See, I tried! :goodvibes

I would agree. That area seems to be a pinch point.

Yeah, but look at the pic LSU posted! That area is NOT congested!

And yes....I see what you did there. ;)

Wow...you consider those lines NOT congested? We never waited more than 15 minutes when we went the first two weeks of December this year.

Thank you Johde!!

I swear I was not in crowds like this. Christmas 2011...so strange.

I think I will rethink my strategy. Parks early in the morning...back to WL around 1 or 2 and back to the parks around 8 and stay late...right?

Luckily my 5 and almost 3 year old are super easy and quickly adjust ton different schedule s

We went to Hs this morning. Didn't think it was too bad. We have three kids, and got there by 8:15. We did Rockin Roller/TSM (split up), met Sofia, Disney Junior show, Animators drawing lesson, Tower of Terror, Jedi Academy, and Star Tours. Plus, we ate a snack at Starring Rolls and watched some Christmas films on the old Sounds Dangerous stage. We were out by 12:15.

Since we have a toddler who can't ride everything, not all of us did everything, but I did do all but Rockin Roller. Honestly, I'm impressed by how much we've gotten done thanks to FP+.

We went to the Studios today around 11 am. We had FP+ for Toy Story, Tower of Terror, and Rockin roller coaster. We did those 3 and Star Tours befor our 1:45 Sci Fi Reservation. After lunch we did the Back Lot Tour. It was only congested in certain areas. Indiana Jones let out is one time it was very congested. Then over near at TSM. The photo that I have attached was around 1:30.

We then headed over to MK and arrived around 5.

The picture above was nothing for crowds. Within 30-45 minutes it got worse. Around 6:30 I headed to Main St. to do some shopping and the stores were a madhouse. People were pushing and shoving. It was worse then Black Friday. People were pulling sweatshirts off all the racks. I did not want to be in there but just wanted to get the kids a couple little small things for under the tree. We did the Wishes Dessert Party tonight. After Wishes we waited at the party about 15 minutes. We left and then were ushered backstage to exit.

We are here now. It is crowded but we have been at MK 3 mornings in a row at 7 am and have done all that we wanted. We got there at 7 this am, rode 9 rides and met 6 characters by our FP at bog for lunch. Hopped out at noon when the first parade was going on. Went to HS after naps and did our 3 FP+, had dinner at 50s and saw the Osborne lights. We got back to Coronado, saw Santa and put the girls to bed. My mom stayed with them and DH and I went back to MK for wishes. Arrived at 915 and it was insanity. People everywhere! We ditched Main Street and walked on jungle cruise, pirates and HM with no wait. A good day!
