I swear I never saw that today. We were there for RD this morning at 7. Rode PP, Pooh, brainstormed x2,tea cups x2, Buzz x3, expressway, people mover, mermaid, small world, carpets, BTMRR and had a snack break and lunch at LTT (all attractions before our noon ADR) walked out into end of the early parade when it was a bit crowded, but slipped out side of liberty square to main to main
street shopped in the empiricism, caught monorail to TTC and were back at BEG fir nap by 2:15. We return tonight after dinner for ESTWB fp, parades and fireworks along with whatever else suits us.

There were heavy crowds still coming in as we left, and I've never seen cars parked on the grass before. Still, we looked at each other walking into the hotel and questioned why haven't we come before at Christmas, as it was no big deal.

we will be there too. This is when we usually go. There are always large crowds until at least the 3rd. This being a weekend, I would expect crowds (although maybe not as bad as that picture) until about the 4th or 5th.

I knew it wasn't going to be empty but even when we were there Dec 21-26 2011 it wasn't anywhere near THAT!!! I figured first week in January couldn't be worse than Christmas week....guess I was wrong.

The pictured area tends to be congested on a normal day, so it may not be the best representation of crowds today anyway.

I just saw MDE reporting 90 minutes at both HM and IaSW. Yuck.

These pictures should be saved and pulled out when people say that the crowds are insane and that it "feels crowded" when they are at WDW on a level 4 crowd day in October.

Btw, as of a few minutes ago I was still able to make FP+ reservations for TSMM and Soarin.

It's not that easy. You would have to upload your pics to a photo-sharing site such as Photobucket and then link to that image in a post.

Soarin' is 130, TT is 120, Maelstrom is 65, Dino is 60, KS is 70, Star Tours is 60, RRR is 90, TOT at 80, TSMM is 105, BTMR is 125, Buzz is 90, PP is 115, Space is 120, Splash is 110, and Barnstormer is 85.

That "feels" crowded to me.

Who said that you don't need FPs for anything other than Soarin and TT.

The holidays are a completely different animal than any other time of the year.

Right now (4:15) I looked and could get Soarin for 7:50 or 8:15 and TSMM for 5:30 or 8:00.

I did not proceed to try to book anything because I am not there.

Heck no! That's exactly why I'd never go during Christmas or NYE!
