Does anybody have pictures of the theme parks right now at Christmas capacities? I am trying ot show somebody that wants to go on Christmas and says "How bad can it be" and a picture is worth a thousand words

Have them check out one of the wait times apps (I like easywdw) and explain that regular fastpass won't be available soon. That should dissuade them.

By the way, the Haunted Mansion and Jungle Cruise are both at 60 minutes and Spaceship Earth of all things is at 40 minutes.

I was at Hollywood Studios on Sunday. It really wasn't that bad to be honest. Crowd Calendars said a 9, with a resort wide level of 10. We used our fastpass+, ate, saw 2 shows and left around 4. It was congested but manageable. If that was the only time of year I could go, then I would, and I am sure we would still have a nice time.
The thing that got to me the most was the noise. There was just a loud rumble of voices, and music and talking and ride noises etc etc everywhere you went. That bothered me more than the people. I was overstimulated and wanted quiet by the time we left.

And the crowds are much more apparent during parades and shows (like fireworks and wishes). Like really apparent.

I'm not much help but I'm here right now and the key to do rides a day like today especially in Magic Kingdom is do EMH. We were here before 7, were able to do the rides that we wanted even more than once and basically we were done by 10:30am. Still have all my FP availabla and reschedule for the evening and might loose one because we do not know what to do with it. We had lunch And went back to the hotel around 12:15 to rest and going back in the evening for Wishes Dessert Party.

What I can say is by 11:00 it was crowded and that is when waits were starting to get very long and it was impossible to walk.

We had an awesome time and happy that we did everything that we wanted to do.

I was yesterday at Epcot and we could not make it at opening time but had the FP+ scheduled so we were able to enjoy the rides we wanted. Did the candlelight processional and the showcase area felt packed but once you leave that area it gets easier to walk. We arrived here to WDW on Sunday and arrived to Hollywood Studios around 12:15, had lunch did two rides with fastpasses and the rest stanby

Totally our usual strategy! This was a one-time thing, because we had to use our DVC points and it *is* pretty magical. But the crowd is ginormous.

This is why, like the PP said, we stay out of the parks in the middle of the day. Do whatever we can in the morning (using AM EMH when available) and then spend the middle of the day resting or looking at decorations at the resorts.

Well I know a lot of people had the same idea about taking that Thursday and Friday off work and doing some traveling, so I'm thinking WDW is going to be pretty darn full.

99% of schools in Hawaii go back on the 6th (or later), so I'd imagine most schools in the states are on the same schedule. I think you are in for the same types of crowds, sorry!
