Hi,

We are thinking about splitting our vacation between disney and Universal. We have been to Disney before but never to Universal. Any ideas or suggestions on getting from Universal to Disney between trips??? I know we can rent a car but not sure if that is worth it. I don't want to take a cab because I have a 5 an 3 year old and no car seats??? Any ideas??

Also, are there packages with hotel, tickets and food too?? What hotel do you prefer??

Thanks

Caroline

They are a good 30 minutes apart. I would spend xx nights at a WDW resort for the Disney days, then move to a US resort for your US days. You are going to spend a lot of time traveling back & forth otherwise. Just call towncar service for transportation.

We use Tiffany Town Cars. I don't have kids, but I think they will provide car seats for the children no extra charge. They will also stop at the store for supplies, also no extra charge. We use them all the time. They charge $55 from the airport to the Portofino Bay hotel.....I don;t know how much they would charge between WDW & USO. Much cheaper than renting a car for sure!

We have been using them for years, Excellent service!

We have looked at either getting a Town Car or a bus. The bus was a pain and more expensive. They do do a Magical Express like thing for universal from the airport I believe (read this somewhere) so the other option is Magical Express from Disney hotel to airport then Universal Express from airport to Universal but seems like a big pain.

The bus from the airport to US resorts is not free, you have to pay. I'd just take a taxi from your WDW resort to your US resort. It would probably cost around $40 depending on traffic.

Right and you might also want to check with Mears Transportation...I think it's a little cheaper than a cab but you would have to make arrangements 24 hours in advance.

Thanks. Might go for the towncar option as its only $65 for a return trip so that sounds good

Quick Silver has a 3 way towncar rate from the airport to WDW to US back to airport for $145.

Has anyone ever used this?
