I'm thinking of heading down there on the 28th-1st to experience 24hrs at MK. Anybody thinking of going? Or already going? Would be nice to have some company!

I will be down there for the week of Leap year and I will be trying to stay in the parks for the full 24 hrs. Some people think i am nuts but this is a once in a life time chance to do disney for 24hr straight. I am hoping i can make it. :)

I booked my Disney vacation back in September for the week of 2/27, so I was beyond excited to learn that Disney was doing this Leap Year celebration! We're not going to be in the park for the entire 24 hours, our plan is to take it easy during the day, lounge by the pool or something then head to MK for late night fun. I absolutely can't wait!

PM me if your are going. We can exchange info. Would love to hang with some DISers

I have a solo trip that week. I have not decided exactly what I am doing that day. It may depend on how late I am out the night before.

I will be there. Since I normally travel during off season I don't get to see MK at night. I will probably skip it during the day and just come out after dark. Anyone know what attractions will be open?

I asked my Disney Vacation planner the same thing and as far as I know, all attractions (except refurbs - TMRR, Dumbo, and something else) will be open. The restaurants may not be tho.

Probably the quick serves will be open.

Hi! I broke down and got PH ticket for this trip-so for Leap Day, I plan on making rope drop, going to EPCOT for Le Cellier lunch, going back to the resort, take a nap, and then head back out to MK and stay out as late as I can. I have an early evening planned the day before and a late start planned for the day after...we'll see how it works out.

I LOVE MK at night! Especially Tomorrowland with all the neon. Also, I think riding Splash at night and being at the top of the big drop and seeing the castle all lit up is priceless. :)

hoping for a photo op at 6:30AM :faint: by the Castle...

I'll be there (with the kids) 2/21 till 3/1. As my oldest is 16...he can watch the smaller ones to allow for some mom time. Hard to find anyone to hang out with at the world....I meet mostly couples, and love to hang out with new friends....but it would be great to meet some single people as well!

I guess the resort buses will be running all night?
Wouldn't it be nice if they had a breakfast buffet about 1am at one of the restaurants. :lmao:
I am really surprised that more information is not available about the event.

Great idea!!!! I really hope that they thought ahead and some food options will be available! I have run into 3am EMH at MK...and no real food options. IMO, they should have a 24 hours food option somewhere on Disney property. Not to go off topic, lol.

GF counter service is a 24 hour service... they even have a 24 hour service pizza window!!

Ty, DFD...

I still think that they should have an option that accommodates all resort guests. Great if you stay at GF, but others will have a transportation issue. The monorail and the buses do not run 24 hours. I'm going on this next trip without a car....and I miss it already!!! Not enough to pay a grand to rent one though!

as of last week... they did say monorail will be running till 3AM...

I called WDW today to get a confirmation on my ME information. I asked my CSR if there were and specific closures or would MK be running all attractions during the Leap Day event. I was told that it will be treated just as if it were magic hours. So what ever is normally open during the 12-3am magic hours would be open until 6am.

The buses will be running up to one hour after closing, as they do during normal operating hours. I can only assume that it would be the same for the monorails - I didn't ask as I am not staying on a monorail hotel this time.
