Anybody go to IOA just for butterbeer?

If I was rich, I would. Frozen all the way. I can't believe no chain restaurant hasn't picked this up as a promotion.

for me, the best thing about having parry hotter at IOA is the butter beer.

when i am there on vacation, i will walk to that section of the park for a butter beer. (and then return to my hotel room.)

frozen butter beer, that is.
that drink is soooo tasty!

i have the AP so park cost not an issue.

Yes, sorta. :goodvibes

On our way back to the RPR from the Studios I like to walk up to HP World and grab a butterbeer, see if any of the entertainers are out, things like that.

Frozen all the way!!!

(we've had either AP's or park-to-park tickets so no extra costs involved.;))

That's a question for JK Rowling but considering she's a control freak, you will probably never see the product outside of a theme park environment. Maybe she'll buy a chain restaurant someday and serve it then. ;)

Do it often--benefit of living in town. Frozen easily better.

A little bit too far to go (20+ hours by place) so I have made it at home for the family off a recipe from the net. Unfortunately it is unfrozen but tastes great and helps with the withdrawal symptoms.

Yup. Did it over memorial weekend one morning. Had 4 day tickets and could hop from park to park.

Took a bunch of pictures and had a nice frozen butterbeer while the teens were sleeping in.

I wouldn't do it if that's all you were going to Universal/IOA for though.

haven't been to Universal in years (and no plans to get there anytime soon..) so i found a recipe online to make the "beer" part, and a second recipe to make the "foam" part!!

uh - all that butter - this is "diet", right??!!!! :rotfl:

I go to the WWoHP whenever I'm at Universal Orlando anyway, but I never leave without having enjoyed at least one frozen Butterbeer. And I go to the line inside the Hog's Head 90% of the time. Even if there's a line there, it's always cooler.

OP - nope. Butterbear was a one an done experience for me as it reminded me of (yuck) cream soda.:confused3

I can't wait to try it! :cool1: It's going to be the first thing I head for, gonna try both frozen and non, I imagine my ds won't be able to have it - he's allergic to dairy/egg, we'll have to get him something else :goodvibes

OP, we have annual passes, and have been known to "stop by" IOA for a frozen butter beer when in Orlando. If I had to pay for parking or park entrance seperately, would definitely NOT do it. We tried it both ways, it is still good regular, but MUCH better frozen. Also, to PP with the dairy allergy, can he have the pumpkin juice? I keep meaning to try it when we are there too, but my family is so hooked on the frozen BB, haven't talked my way around to it yet.

I'll have to check out the pumpkin juice for him, I should try to find out beforehand the ingredients in both these drinks, am looking forward to the frozen BB.:cool1:
