It's been gone since January 23.
We've been compensated, and if I could jump on a flight to look myself, I would. Family committments right now just won't permit that.
We flew from YHZ, claimed our bags, and spent the night at YYZ. Cleared USC&I, and put our bags on the conveyor belt.
And they disappeared forever.
ACBaggage office has no record of them being scanned at any point along the miles of conveyor belt, or onto an airplane...so they think that:
A) Bags were stolen off the belt
B) Tags were ripped off, inadvertently (they are large suitcases), and just got set aside in YYZ
The problems developed in MCO..the UnitedAirlines Baggage office there didn't "push" our lost bags/description form to YYZ the night we arrived, resulting in a delay of over a week before anyone in YYZ knew our bags hadn't arrived...which, according to ACBaggage office, means said bags were transported to the lost luggage room, awaiting item tracing/matching.
Who knows how long that could take....
If your brother would be willing to take a boo for us, I can send you or him our item descriptions...or even if he could tell me if it would be worth my while to come and look myself, and how long it could possibly take..I'm envisioning a room the size of, well, huge...and how many black suitcases there would be!!
