Anybody ever rent a van at home and drop off in Orlando?

We are thinking of driving from Philadelphia to Disney and flying home. Has anyone else ever done this? It wouldn't be too bad if we drove it home but it seems like if we want to just drive the one way, we're looking at $300-$500 easily for a minivan.

Is there any company that doesn't charge extra for dropping it off somewhere other than where you picked it up from?

I want to know the answer for this too, as I am in the same position.

I know over spring break Alamo was having a one way special for pick up in Florida drop off in other states. You might want to see if it would be worth it to reverse your plans.

It depends on which direction you're going. Heading south to Florida is cheaper when cars are in demand there over the winter months, and then it reverses the rest of the year. We got a full-size car for $129 a week for driving it south from Savannah (SAV) to Orlando (MCO) in early January, which is quite cheap.

Definitely price it both ways on an aggregator site (Kayak, etc.).
