Anybody ever order window treatments online??

Just wondered if anyone knew of a reputable and reasonable online site to order window treatments??? I found blinds galore but after some searching it sounds like they aren't very reputable.

We've used Smith and Noble for a couple of our rooms. You can order online or by phone. Their customer service has always been good, and the curtains were pretty easy to install and very well made. You can get fabric samples sent to you for free in a very timely manner too. Although they tend to run on the higher end of things, they very frequently have free shipping or 20% off offers that make things more reasonable.

I have used American Blind & Wallpaper Factory and also blinds.com and had no trouble with either one.

I can vouch for Smith & Noble's customer service. We have a 99" wide picture window with 2 standard windows on either side of it and needed custom blinds. The blind on the picture window just split in the middle. Smith and Noble replaced it at no charge, and replaced the 2 windows on the side for a total of $30 so that the colors would still match, since we had originally ordered them almost 10 years ago.

They have my business for life.

I will take a look at those sites. I had ordered some Roman Shades (Hunter Douglas) from Home Depot on Sunday. I wanted them to be "hobbled" or "looped" even when closed. They called yesterday and said they weren't able to come that way! I was so excited too, to finally find something since we have the money finally too...we got new windows in April of 04!!! And have yet to get window coverings!!! I am a little tired of my sheet in the nice new bay window in the living room.

Another vote for Smith + Noble. I've ordered a few things from them and I am always happy with the quality and service. I'm just extra extra careful with measurements as all their stuff is custom and non-returnable if it is just for size. And they almost always have a coupon or discount.

I've ordered from American blinds several times with no problem. Usually I'll go pick them out at Home Depot and then order them online. I like to see the colors in real life first.

I've used them twice now. I generally pick out what I want at Home Depot or Lowe's and then order them on line. Twice now I have gotten the order within two days of ordering. (without paying for express shipment) plus their prices are generally cheaper than at the stores. The entertainment book has a coupon for them - 15% off blind purchase (code ENT5) or 10% off any purchase PLUS free shipping (code ENTW). Valid to 12/31/06.

I will NEVER EVER use American Blinds and Wallpaper again. Last June, I ordered and paid for a window treatment. I did not receive it until **10 weeks** later. I kept calling, emailing, and kept getting the run around from their customer service-less dept. The refused to reverse the charge until my order was shipped (which against credit card policy). They shipped it out, but UPS had no record of ever receiving the shipment. After 2 weeks of "looking" for it, they "reshipped."

My head is just spinning from looking at all these shades/blinds!! We are going to hit Lowes, Blinds to Go and Home Depot again this weekend to pick out what we like and then search again online.

I did see one at Home Depot yesterday when I canceled my original order. After I searched online for them...they all said that particular model is not able to be ordered online per Hunter Douglas....Just my luck!!!

I ordered some blinds from American Blind before and didnt have any problems with them. They were cheaper than Home Depot and had the same product.

I ordered Hunter Douglas blinds for 5 windows from American Blinds on May 5. Of the 5, only 1 was right or in proper working condition. I was on the phone with numerous customer service reps...had orders remade and reshipped twice...got in touch with the all the VPs from their website and finally...October 25...my windows are complete. NEVER EVER AGAIN!!!!

I got the blinds for my french doors from JCPenney.com. I wanted bamboo, non-see-through blinds, and it was actually the only place I was able to find them. I got them for a good price, and they were delivered quickly.

We ordered our blinds through justblinds.com. We sent off for free samples of the different types of blinds and then placed our order. Prices were great and customer service was terrific. UPS lost our order and JustBlinds sent out a rush order to get a new set of blinds made and overnighted to us so that we could have them up before Christmas. For that alone they will get my business again!
