I'm hoping for the FL resident rates to come out tomorrow. They usually come out the day after AP rates. Anybody else waiting with me?

I don't think the free dining would work for me-- we just don't EAT that much-- PLUS we will be going Columbus Day weekend and would miss that free dining package time-- which is okay-- I have Pop Century reserved but would either like to upgrade to a Moderate or just get Pop for less-- I have never stayed at a Value--- so I am nervous--- Please post ASAP when you find out the new FL resident rates! ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

Don't worry, I check several times a day. I really don't want to be tied down to the dining plan. ft Wilderness doesn't have counter service restaurant which really makes it difficult to get all of our meals in without having to pay.

we are too. we already have our passes and like to do 3 day 2 night trips during the year so this new plan makes me kinda nervous that the room only codes wont come out

we're booked both ways, just in case. After all, if I have to pay full price for the room, I want the free dining. But if I can get a discount on the room, we'll do dining on our own. Trail's End buffet is very reasonable and we'll do mostly ctr service (except for a char. lunch and dinner at CRT). Not to mention meals at the cabin.

Either way is not bad. Room rates are better, though.

I am really nervous about the rates not coming out. But, why would they have the AP rates come out if they are not going to do the FL rates?

Joining the crowd waiting.... :goodvibes

anybody else call and ask? What are the CM's telling you? I've called many times, trying to figure out about the free dining pkg as compared to room only - both times the CM's tell me they've been told FL res rate should come out in AUGUST! :confused3

:confused3 All this talk of the AP rates, I'm wondering (since this and any mention of FL res rate) was buried on page 5.............

Anybody??? :confused3 Hear, or call, or ask?? on Florida Resident Rates for October????

Fingers and toes crossed, but I believe that Disney outdid themselves this year in advertising for the MYW, ME, and 50th Celebration....... *sigh

Speaking of Florida Resident Rates (lol! I was going to start a new thread about this, but I figured it would probably just get lost amidst the best rate program threads) how, if at all, do you think FL Resident rates are going to be affected by the AP best rate plan? Do you think they'll still have the rates like they do now?

Meg :sunny:

I already have an AP rate for Sept-$89 at POR (booked the good old-fashoined way), but need one for November!!!! We are booked at BWI con. for $490 plus tax a night! EEK!!!!!! Hoping for a FL res rate to ease that burden!!!!

My guess would be that they're going to get the AP Best Rate Program working and book as much with that before releasing anything for call-in for APs. And then FL res. discount would be released about the same time as call-in for APs. I'd guess that August is right. After all, those discounts were released in August last year.

Does anyone know what the usual October rate is?
Like what was last year's October FL resident rate?
I know up until October 4th, including taxes, it's 66 for value & 99 for moderate but I'm going October 5th :confused3

We're going on a cash wknd stay to WL on Oct.7 and so far no FL.Res.code :(
