So I'm at the computer working on my teacher work sample (I've decided that if an assignment has a table of contents that is a bad sign), when all of a sudden I hear this little sound of air escaping. Yup, the dog farted! Bad part? He likes to sit on the back of the couch and was partially on my shoulder, so it was right by my face.

Both my puppies are flatulent. There are times I look around to figure out who pooped, and it's just them having fun. What do they put in that dog food?!

Anybody else have flatulent dogs?

I am the owner of 5 very gassy pugs!

Whats worse is when you HEAR them...:lmao:

Add a couple of tablespoons of plain yogurt or cottage cheese to their diet. I t seriously helps. It helps them smell better overall!!!

Mine would not eat it...

I was told pugs would eat anything...someone needs to inform mine...they turn there nose up at treats half the time..:confused3

I dont know what my dog got into tonight but I still have a candle lit... its bad.. very very bad in my house right now..:scared:

Yep, kind of. Our cute little girl Q burps and once in a while pewters when jumping up onto something or bolting up the stairs. hehehehehee

We switched our dog to the lamb flavored formula of his dog food vs. the chicken and he is much improved.

My dogs burp too! (Well, Eragon mostly). It is the funniest thing I have ever heard.

I have a stinky old man doggie. Sometimes they are silent and sometimes they are noisy, but they are always killers! :scared: Worse yet, we had a canine holiday guest over Thanksgiving, another old man doggie...and the two of them would lay on either side of my computer chair and tag-team stink! Eeeew!

I will try that, thank you! I think ours will eat just about anything that holds still long enough, and it sure couldn't hurt to try!

No, but I have a Flatulent Sister!:scared1:

Nope, no dogs...but my husband smells like something crawled up in him and died many times. :guilty:

Phew, I have a never petite cat and I have had her for 11 yrs now and never once have I heard or smelt anything coming out of her rear quarters. :rotfl: Not to say she doesn't fluff like a girl every now and then just prefers to have manners and be alone when it happens :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Check out my tag and that'll answer it.

Unfortunately we lost that Farting dog about a year and a half ago now. (Harry we love you gas and all)

But we have added a french bulldog that is just as flatulant as Harry- the English Bulldog.

Another gassy boxer here!
Gunner will pass a silent, deadly, green cloud of gas and look at his butt like, "Who put that in there??"
His farts could wake the dead! :scared:

I was thinking of you when I saw the thread title, but couldn't remember which DIS'er you were, just your very funny 'dog' tag :teeth:.

agnes!

Yes. We have two. But the Boston is by FAR the gassiest of the two... I have tried a few different foods.... Am currently trying Rachel Ray's new food. We'll see how that goes. peee ewww.

Oh my word YES! My lab can clear a room. And it's usually accompanied with him jumping up and looking around like "What was that??? It wasn't me!"

What type of dog do you have? There are some breeds, like the Boxers mentioned here(I had one too, that was famous for his eye watering farts!) that are very prone to flatulence. Sometimes a change in diet helps, but not always. You may just be the lucky owner of a stinky dog! Hey, at least you have someone to blame should you have a not so pleasant moment :lmao:
