Anybody else have an issue when only 2 are dining?

I've had something similar happen to me at Chefs de France - I got there 5 minutes early for my reservation but had a 35 minute wait. That coupled with a rude maitre d' meant that I ended up asking for my desert to be comped (which to their credit, they did). I understand that they have space restrictions and I don't mind a short wait, but given you have to give a credit card to confirm a reservation for a set time, they should honour the same.

OP - you are remarkably chill about it. I agree with some of the other posters who point out that this isn't usual (and out of my last 4 trips, it's only happened to me once) but if it happens, there should be service recovery to recognise that you're being put out.

Every time I've been there I've dined alone (always lunch) and have never encountered an unusual delay. My guess is that somebody just dropped the ball.

In our experience we find we get seat very close to our time or right away in some instance's. So sorry this happened to you, I would have asked to speak to the manager at the 45 minute mark.

We have had a couple of times when the server seemed less interested in waiting on the 2 of us. But once we order adult beverages, a bottle of wine, craft of sangria, or even appetizers plates, it seems that changes the attitude of the server = larger check = larger tip. Should this happen of course not but its not a perfect world even at WDW.

I never had a problem with a party of two. But I would have had a problem with the attitude you got. that is uncalled for.
