Anybody else feel stupid for not taking advantage of a PIN

I wish I had booked at trip with my 40% off room pin back in February. I wasn't sure about my job at the time due to switching companies and didn't book. I don't know why I didn't since I could have just cancelled if things didn't work out. We can't go until the September at the earliest since my vacation started over with this new company. I really hope they come out with a new fall discount for this year because paying full price is really expensive and probably out of the question.

I feel stupid for not using the pin right I scheduled our vacation on wdw.com and I thought I had scheduled it with the 40% off. I even called and asked a CM if the 40% off had been applied and he said yes. I started checking into it and it seemed as though I wasn't saving any money so I called back and had them check again, but this was after the offer ended. They did some research and said that I didn't have the discount, I must have done something wrong when I booked online

YES!!! I also had the 40% off PIN and didn't use it! We ended up switching to a split stay about a month after it expired and booked a room only at BC using the current promo (not sure if we got 25 or 30% off....I'm no good at Math!). I could really truly kick myself for not booking BC or Poly at 40% off...DUH!!!!

YES, definitely count me in this! my mom had a PIN for the dates i need in december for 35-40% off room rates and she didn't tell me until last week!!!!

We've got a 30% off pin for when we want to go in the fall but it's no where near as good as FD. It would be about a $300 savings (nothing to sneer at, I realize) where FD is about $1,000. I guess I have to just decide if we are going or not...I was going to let FD make that decision. My wife really wants to go (again).

And I thought I was the only one! LOL! YES! I completely regret not using my 40% off deluxe PIN in February! But, I don't blame myself....I blame my sister She said she wanted to take her kids to Orlando, I said WDW and when? She said Universal and T-giving so she would have the holiday, I said...."Are you crazy???? It is super busy then PLUS I have a WDW PIN for the following week!!" She insisted that she would not take the extra leave from work. Fast forward 6 days.....PIN expires....sis finds out there will be a WVU football game vs. south Fl the week after t-day....suddenly she has plenty of time, and has decided that WDW really is more convenient. UUGGGHH! We could have stayed deluxe for the same cost. KILLING ME!!! Good luck to everyone who waited too long!

I had the same pin earlier this year but decided to wait and book with our AP so we could add the dining plan. I thought the AP discounts would be the same or better (seriously, I was being greedy!). The day after the pin expired AP discounts were released and were 5% less than the pin! Granted, we are still going and I'm glad we got a discount but I'm kicking myself that we're paying more then we should be. Grr...

Lesson learned - always book with whatever discount is available and then apply others as they come out.

I just got a PIN in the mail (about 2 weeks ago) and I had literally booked my hotel about a week before! I was so bummed. I got such a good deal though I didnt think It was worth the cancellation and rebook. So I am in the same boat

It's not that I feel stupid, it's just that I know that in the space between 2002 and 2009 (while we were "growing" our family and weren't visiting Disney) we got snail mail pins ALL the time!!! Also, pre-2002, when DH and I were super young and did not have nearly the income we have now, we would always get bounceback offers but could not afford to go again that particular year. Now that we are on a regular schedule...no PINS, and no bouncebacks...oh, the irony!
