I was just wondering how plausible it is to go to the podium and buy a loaf of the wonderful:love: bread at KONA ?

Has anybody done this? :confused3 and if so, was it in the morning or at night?

TIA:flower3:

Ohhh that bread! It is so delicious! I know they only offer it at dinner, so that might be a clue when to buy it (if they sell it by the loaf)

As far as I know you can't do that. First, Disney restaurants do not generally do takeout. Second, I do not believe that is a separately priced item on the menu, just gratis with your meal, so I'm sure they wouldn't have any way to price it for you anyway.

(But in the history of Disney, you know, stranger things have happened - so I still wouldn't be surprised to see someone post and say "we do that every visit!" LOL. :lmao:)

If I was dining there, I'd definitely ask to take bread with me.... But even if nt, I'd ask to see the chef for a quick minute and tell him/her about my obsession about the bread and ask if you could buy some or get the recipie. I bet you would get both. But you willget further with the chef or manager than the host or a waiter. What an easy thng to do to make a guest happy!

FWIW, I heard people ordered take out cheese soup and pretzel bread before. So it wouldn't hurt to try Kona. Worst they could say is "Sorry no" :)

My kids inhaled the sweet bread when we were at Kona. I found the recipe on AllEars and made it at home. It was pretty similar but not quite as good as the real thing!
