Anybody been on a committee for a "Snoopy on Parade" type fundraiser?

I realize this is a stretch but if anyone has info on how to put together a character statue that artists decorate for display and in the end you auction off the statues...Can you give me any advice? Thanks!
P.S. Our statues would be of Canada geese. Any ideas for titles? Geese on Parade doesn't do it for me.

Never been on the committee but my hometown does this with great success. They are known for their BBQ pork so they do "Pigs in the City" and decorate and then auction off pigs. Do a search for Pigs in the City, Lexington NC.

Our Downtown (yes we have a downtown here ) has done this in the past. One year was doors, the next year was chairs. Not sure if they are still doing it. What they did was have a company sponsor a door and then the company could decide to decorate it itself or it could get a volunteer group to decorate the door for you. We had an art class from the local community college do our door (and chair). Once the doors were done they were displayed in different stores downtown. After that an event was held that included food and wine to auction off the doors.


Hmm theme name...lemme think. Something with flock?

Ok, what if we named the goose? What about "Chester", short for the town name? Is that dumb? We could have a them like "Chester about town" or something dorky like that.
