anybody advertise on Google?

I just set up an AdWords campaign. I didn't set a high budget - $40 per month max. I figure that I can try it and see what happens.

Anybody else advertise on Google? How is it working out for you?

I do online marketing for a web design company, and although I don't have my own account, I set up and monitor them for clients. We have had good success with adwords, but its all in the keywords you choose and the ad itself. If you have any specific questions you think I may be able to help you with, feel free to pm me. Good luck! Adwords is alot easier to use than overture, which is yahoo's(etc) paid advertising. So you made a good choice there to start out with.
